Big Sur
We had a nice breakfast made by Mom in the morning. We left from Mountain View at around 11.45am.
We bought cherries from a roadside vendor near Gilroy. The cherries were fresh and sweet.
It took us around 2.30 hours to get to Julie Pfeiffer Burns State Park. The drive on PCH 1 was very scenic. There were mountains on one side and the Pacific ocean on the other side.
We were hungry by the time we got to the park, so we decided to have lunch. Mom had got a great picnic lunch. It was quite cold and windy in the picnic area where we were having lunch. Immediately after lunch we wore our sweaters and it felt so good to wear the warm sweaters.
After that we took a short trail near the picnic area which had redwood trees and a stream running by. We found out it was a 4 to 5 hour trail to some Overlook point. So, we turned back from there.
Then we went on the Waterfall trail. The view of the waterfall and the waves breaking on the mountains was great. We walked upto the observation deck and enjoyed the scenery. We were looking out for some blue whales but all we got to see were some sea otters.
COME TRUE, HEAVEN. ONLY IF I HAD THE MONEY.
