Hotel
Our single malt tour started by flying into the Glasgow airport. A short commute later and we arrived at our hotel of choice the Malmaison. In a converted old stone church in the center of the city, it made a unique experience. At night, their lobby is lit by candle light which helps to set the mood for their champagne bar and the call of the seagulls out your room window.
Being in the center of town means that you can walk about 6 blocks to the 2nd largest retail and shopping area in the UK. As we were deciding which pub to have lunch, we passed a young bag-pipe player on the street. Only in Scotland!
