Happy Yule!

We left home later than we expected (which is typical).  We had our van filled with holiday decorations, gifts, our stuff and the stuff for the girls (Teeter, Emmie & Tinka).  We used Feliway in the girls carriers and it worked wonderfully.  Tinka "told us about it" a couple times, but for the most part all three were calm during the drive.

When we got into town we got the key and directions to the house.  The drive the the house was so neat.  We've never been in Cambria in December, so seeing all the light was pretty cool.  There was this one house that covered their round climbing structure with lights.

After un packing and settleing in we drove back to Paso Robles to get out tree.  There were no real trees at the Target or the OSH near the 46 and the 101.  We got directions from someone at OSH for a tree lot.  We got the CUTEST tree - about 4 feet tall and VERY fresh.  We went back to Target to get some munchie foods for us to eat while we decorated the tree.

We got a little lost on our way back to the house.  In the dark it's easy to get turned around.

We decorated our tree (and place it where the telescope is in the picture of the house), munched on our snacky foods and then opened some presents.  Every year we get eachother a gift that's meaningful to our relationship and we open them on Yule.  For example a DVD of the movie we saw on our first date, a Frank Sinatra CD (since we met at the Itailain restaurant where we worked).  This year I got Scott a pair of snowflake boxers (inside joke) and a snowflake shaped Dodgers ornament (which I'm going to have engraved with the date we got together - which was the same day we went to a Dodger game).  Scott got me a Cambria tee-shirt and Cambria licence plate frame.  We honeymooned in Cambria.  We got so into opening gifts we decided to open all of them.:-)

We got the girls new beds - but they didn't really like them.  It was one of those "Purr Pad" type beds.  I guess it's one of those love it or hate it things.

Before going to bed we enjoyed the hot tub and some amazing caramel hot chocolate (from Target, Archer Farms).
