We heard the pilot announcing that we were now circling the Kilimanjaro Mountain...and my heart started pumping...my dream of arriving into Tanzania the Land of the Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and the world famous Spice Islands Zanzibar...was finally here...
We came off the airplane after a tiny little snack wasnt really hungry...and was soon by the customs desk waiting for my visa. It was not a hussle to get my visa...just as my Local Agent had told me...earlier. I was worried with all the silly American Government travel advisories, but from the word go I felt in safe hands with my agent Auram Sasfaris...the visa issue was a 'small ceremony' took only about 5 minutes at most. Paid my visa fees and was out of the customs area and was getting even more excited to be in our safari vehicle with our driver guide. We had sen his bio and knew everything he liked and even ate.
These guys in Arusha were super professional...my agent had a very intersting story behind his name...anyways thats for another day. My agency was at the door waiting for me with a Signboard just as promised written Welcome to Tanzania and my name was below next to the Auram Safaris Logo of two beautiful looking elephant. My heart eased at seeing this.
Next we met our driver guide who was called Japhet and entered our beautiful Toyota 4x4 Land Cruiser. The vehicle was brand New!! Fully fitted with radio VHF and HF just as promised. The driver guide informed his operations manager that he has meet us! Another major sign of professionalism...and off we headed to our hotel in Arusha. The driver welcomed us so much with warmth and spoke so passionaltelty about whatver we asked him. This made us even more sure this was going to be the trip of a life time with Auram Safaris...
Our hotel for the night was another story...we need to rest now... for the night...a earlier told we would sleep like babies...in our hotel after a sumptous dinner...
