I spent three months in Skipton. It was unforgetable. I rented a cottage very near High Street so could walk to all points of interest. Among the things that impressed me: Skipton Castle, the market on High Street, St Andrews Methodist Church, Tesco, walks on the cobble stones. But most of all the lovely people. hint: if Americans speak first, the people are very friendly.
