Summer Shore Leave

I had typed up a nice journal entry, but amidst learning to use features of this site, I lost what i had written while uploading photos :-(

After a head-ache work day yesterday, I was looking forward to starting my vacation.  And most of all, getting to my room in Vegas and SLEEPING.  So that's what I did once I arrived, waited for my luggage, and then waited/walked through the snaking mile-long taxi lineup.  It was rediculous, and exactly how I remember it here.  Probably one of the reasons why I dislike this place.  I shant complain, however, as the company is footing the bill for me to be here and stay in THE hotel down here - The Wynn.

On the flight down, we did get a great view of Mt St Helens.  As we flew past, I noticed that she was venting a bit - see photo :-)

It's Friday morning now, and I'm just waiting for my omlette to show up to my room.  Then it's off to our conference registration and some speeches, including our own Caroline Everett (Caz), who'll be giving the gathering her words of wisdom and motivation.

So apparently you can't add NEW entires to this site (it's a new site, so I think that they're still working out the bugs), so I guess I'll just be adding to this one as we go...









After our morning gathering (Caroline spoke very well) it was pool time for me, and that's how I spent the rest of my day (as did most others) until getting ready for our evening of global awards and debautchery (so I hear).  It was a fun evening, not much sleep, and then
our morning 'recovery' breakfast, where booze was still served (if you could still hold it down), and the dj was still spinning.

Our team had appointments at the spa at noon - well-deserved and enjoyed - and then we had an FCm lunch across the Boulevard.

A few hours later, it was time to get ready for my night-flight to Toronto to visit with Ella and my sister and brother-in-law.  Yannick was meeting me there on Sunday as well, and from Toronto the two of us will be continuing to Europe.


















>>> I've uploaded some more photos now, from our flight from Toronto through London to Amsterdam (which was much longer that supposed to be - delayed flight / missed connection).  But we are finally in Amserdam and recovering from our jetlag.
