Day 1 - Boy is it hot up here!!! We started of the day with breakfast, eggs, bacon, juice, and french toast, at our hotel......To a person who like sweets, I had to say it was VERRRRY bland. I think it was all sugar free.
We headed out the "Shedd" as the natives call it, and we got "lost." The highway system up here takes a while getting used to, they have a ton of toll highways and construction going on. Good thing was, since I come up here almost every year to attend the big Wizard World Comic Con, I was able to get my bearings pretty quickly after I descoverd we were in Rosemont, which is north of the city.

Now going in the right direction, we arrived at the aquarium and discovered that we had to wait in one of the longest lines known to mankind!! In the heat and clear sunny skies!! The wait was not too bad, I think it was about 20 to 30 minutes.
The aquarium was AWESOME!! Just to see these huge tanks with all kinds of aquatic life was amazing!! It reminded me of my childhood when my dad had his big 55 gallon aquarium with sharks and stingrays, except the sharks and rays were like normal size!! 3 and 4 feet size!! I wish we could have brought Camryn to see Nemo and his friends!!!
After spending a lot of time at the aquarium, we headed over to the movies to see Pirates II (arrrrr). We did not get lost this time because i took a page from my dad's book and purchased a map of the city, no more getting lost for me. We got to the theatre which is the heart of the city and stopped in at the Lucky Strike for a bite to eat.
We went i nto watch the movie, which I thought was great, DeYuana thought that it was bad because of the ending. After the movie I discoved that I "lost" my keys!! Never fear Underdog is here, I had a strong feeling that I left them at the Lucky Strike downstairs, and low and behold there they were.

It was getting late so we drove over to Chinatown. Boy how things change over the course of 20 years!!
Another funny story, as we are in line to check out at the Chinatown Walgreens, we went to pay for our items and discovered that my wallet was missing!!!! **GROAN** Now panic starts to set in because all of our money is in there, so I run out to the car and find it in the visor. At this point, we both decide it's time to turn in so we head on back to the hotel for the night.
