trips around philippines

We had fun when my fiance and i stayed for a while in manila last february. We didn't plan to stay much in manila so we pretty much just went around ortigas avenue where our hotel, the richmond hotel is situated. THen on the second day we went to tagaytay, went around town and went to the crater. The car which we rented was okey, didn't cost much and the driver was very helpful and friendly to us. He took us to the place where we could ride a boat to get to the taal mountain from where we took another ride, this time on horses to get to the crater. The ride up was dusty but a lot of fun. We saw tourists going up and down the volcano. some are on horses, some opted to hike. I wouldn't hike, it was far too dusty and a little bit long distant from the seaside. When we get to the crater, it was worth it. The view was spectacular and buko juice which was a little bit costly up there for 40 pesos a piece was still a refreshing drink after a long horse ride. Took pictures here and there, smelled the sulfur emanating from the volcano's crater, rested for a while under the nipa huts where villagers sells food and then decided to go down.

We also tried every restaurant in megamall, made some shopping, and then went to boracay on the third day. Then spent five days and four nights in one of the most beautiful beach i have ever set my eyes on in my entire life. Boracay was indeed a beautiful and most wonderful getaway. We stayed at Las Brisas hotel which was fortunately by the station 1 so the beach we get to enjoy right outside the hotel was still superb, unlike the beach by the station 2 and 3. The hotel has a wonderful small pool which we also enjoyed and every afternoon till evening we would walk down the beach towards D'mall. The restaurants were endless as you walk along the beach. ONe could just find every kind of food your mouth longs for. The endless possibilities of food and fun was really a great one! i loved every night in Bora. ONe has to be prepared though for the prices. Me and my fiance even joked that the food prices was at its highest in Bora, next was in manila, and last of course was my province. From 800 per person over in bora, to 300 per person in manila, and down in bicol, 300 pesos could feed us both already. hehe..

Lots more to come. i prefer to write more next time about bora. THis july, me and my partner plans to see more of manila, villa escudero, and more of  bicol! can't go around much coz im five months preggy hehehe..
