Fri 09/22/06 (day 1)

Friday Night

Arrived at hotel quite late on Friday. Same hotel as 2 years ago, Hotel Leidse Square, so we know what we're getting. Clean, quiet (it has a lift which is a bonus) excellent value! Get tram to hotel from Centraal Station. Buy a 'strippenkart' at kiosk in station which is great for trams.

Quick change in hotel and off to Rose's Cantina...keeping to the schedule so far! Gorgeous Mexican food in fantastic surroundings. We had dinner in an outside courtyard to the rear of the restaurant. If it wasn't us two girls, it would have been romantic!

After dinner, back to main square at Leidseplein to sit at one of the many bars outside to watch everyone as they went by. Excellent way to spend an evening in Amsterdam.

Paid a visit to Canecao which is a salsa bar, but at midnight, it was still pretty empty and didn't look very inviting.

Not too late back to the hotel, as it was a long day travelling...there's always tomorrow...

This trip looks interesting. But, the Sex Museum doesn't look to fun.

i think the sex museum could be a giggle. just a quick look around while we're in that area shopping. if it's bad, then it hasn't cost much.

i want to travel the museum of Amsterdam. in every time i dream to look aroud the museums of famouse counries. but one thing i havent any money to go there. do i have any way or chance to travel Amsterdam. please help me. it will be change my life.

I usually go each year, classed as a sort of work thing nut not really! The place is fantastic, its so laid back and friendly. Getting there is cheap but hotels can get a bit costly when you see the size of rooms you get, but hea your not there for the room size! If you have a spare few days just jump on the net and book a flight and room then just go! You will love it.

its been a few years since we were there, but it is an absolute blast. culture (museums galore)during the day, lots of fun to be had at night. the sex musuem is definitely worth a look (giggle) and if it is still there the grasshopper is worth the "tourist" experience.
