Try this pit stop too

Louisville, KY

We started the trip on the way down with a trip the the Louisville Slugger Factory tour and Mueseum.

It was a well spent 2.5 hour leg stretcher. Pretty economical and you get a souvenier bat (small) for free.

Great baseball history, batting cages, play area, tour, movie, etc. Good diversion if you are headed south from the mid-west. Downtown Louisville.

wyndham orlando resort was fine. shows its age a bit and is very spread out (we drove from one end to the other and then walked on I-drive to cut down on the walking time).

It was worth the $85 or so I paid as a special price on either hotels.com or tripadvisor. Its certainly functional with a nice pool -- but I wouldnt call it world class!

Hi, nice trip. I have taken my kids to Orlando once. My Wife and I are planning a trip there in Oct/06. We own a Timeshare, adn trade in ours for the MArriots Grande Vista. Havent found a nicer place yet, and it is what keeps us coming back to ORlando, even without the kids.
We are planning on taking our kids again when our youngest ( now) is old enough to enjoy, and behave lol. Really apprecciatte the reviews of the local restruants. Will be checking oout the BBQ joint on your reccomendation. You have any advice or tips for me feel free to e-mail me tirrell143@yahoo.com

It sounds like a great trip...but you are completely missing and driving by The Hickory Holow Barbecue in Ellenton Fl. USA Today ranked it in the top ten in the nations barbecue places. Family owned and operated, this NC style BBQ is not to be missed. I am sure all of these places that are shown are very good, but I have found my favorite and continue to let peopple know where to find the good stuff.....Ellenton Fl, The Hickory Hollow!!!
