After 20 straight years of schooling, I finally have found some time off to do the usual mid-20s backpacking adventure. Planned destination: Dublin, London, Oxford, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen
I have until Saturday to pack everything and make sure that all loose ends have been tied. Today was my last day at work and for more moments than I thought possible, I thought about how I am going to miss the place. At the end of today, I packed more stuff into folders at work than what I have packed for my trip. Priorities.
Job applications are another set of loose ends that need my attention. Since I will be broke and unemployed when I come back (wait, that's true now!), I want to send out as many apps as possible. Tomorrow I'll be in Corona taking a test which I have no idea what will be on it. My trip to Europe isn't helping matters of course. A handful of places will probably start calling for interviews. But I'm optimistic because the last time I was in a foreign country (rhymes with Calexico), I got a call from UCLA and that led to a position on campus.
And I need to pick up contact lenses, return stuff to Distant Lands (travel store in Pasadena), call my credit card companies where I'll be, and cash in that life insurance.
I always like going out for trips in order to share and gain different idies with my fellows concerning about the situation of globalization. Thanks for this offer.Goodday brothers and sisters.
