Hotel

The Dumo was a pretty sight but I would love to come back to Milan when I have lots of money to shop at Prada and Gucci.
The average backpacker thus cannot possibly enjoy milan fully. seeing all the japanese tourists with their many prada/gucci bags is enviable.
My friend and I are planning on a European trip. Do we need to always reserve hotel/hostels? I think we can fly there then decide where to stay after getting there with tourist info and asking the locals, instead of trying to book something ahead of time. My friend thinks we should book somthing, as she thinks we need reservations. Some people who has been to European said that normally
hostels/hotesls don't accept reservations and agree with my idea. Which one is better?
I booked hostels before going there. july-august period is always very packed so i woudl recommend booking first. it costs the same amount and there are tons to choose from on the internet. lots of reviews available too.
If u look at my part one, I came from Stuttgart via Zurich in switzerland by rail. I flew in and out out Europe from Frankfurt.
My friend and I would like to go to the kind of trip you went on backpack europe but instead of 16days do you think we can do it for 13?how much you think it will cost? and when is the best time to go (wheather)we live in San Diego area. Thanks bye... Clarisa
Hmmm i guess u could do it in 13 days. Take away the german part (stuttgart and frankfurt) and you could possibly arrange it. arrange ur flights such that u land in rome/milan and fly back from paris. I had to fly in and out of europe from frankfurt so that's why i had to take 16 days. hope this helps!
I fly into frankfurt for 12 days and go back home via frankfurt. Can this trip be accomplished, with cutting out some? Can I travel everywhere by rail, or is it better to rent a car?
thanks
