Okay, so.... The reason for this trip. I am getting a divorce, and going off to college. Since I will not be actually moving in to my apartment until mid August, and I will be leaving Texas in early July, I need a place to stay in the mean while. So, I'm moving in with my mom for a month until it's time to leave for school. I'm in the process of going through my things, packing up his crap, and figuring out what I want to keep to take with me and what I want to get rid of. I can't take much, since I'm only taking what will fit in my car. Unfortunately, my car is a 4 door Honda Civic. But, I wll have the necessities; a tv, vcr, dvd player, clothes, computer, and books...etc... Also, I'm taking my cat with me, he will stay with my mom until she moves in with me sometime next summmer.
As for the route I'm taking, I've chosen it because it's a little round about, and it goes through states that I've never been to. I've been to a few states in my life, but never Tennessee or Kentucky. I'm looking forward to taking loads of pictures on my way there to remember the beginning of my independent life by. I'm really hoping to have a new/better digital camera by then. I currently have a Vivitar Vivicam 3.1 mp crap grainy camera that I bought for $50 just to have one. Again, it sucks.
I will also need a great soundtrack for the road trip. I'm getting all my music and stuff together so that I have stuff to listen to for the really long drive. Not to mention that this is only the first half of my trip. The second half goes through Niagra Falls and Pennsylvania and Maryland landing me, finally, in Bethesda for the duration.
So, here goes nothing!
