We arrived in San Jose as scheduled and met up with our friend. Our taxi took us to Kap's Place, sort of like a hostel but with a more homey feel to it. After settling in we had dinner at Soda Isabel (recommended in the Lonely Planet guide).
I had a great in 2009 when I went to Costa Rica and explored the natural beauty of the country. Enjoyed the hot springs, volcanoes, jungles and wanterfalls. It was great to see the animals all around you, including birds who are not afraid of humans. I am Costa Rica bound this December again! Highly recommend it.
Costa Rica is definitely one of the places I like to go visit in the near future.. I almost gone there with my ex co-worker few years ago, if my dad didn't die suddenly... She likes to go visit there often because some of her relatives live in Costa Rica.. It's really fascinate me to see different places and observe the cultures and the people.. It enhances my perception on their customs and food.. It also urges me to pursue my dream on writing about the countries, cultures, and their philosophies in life, from these places that I've had been to... What that amazed me most when I go to different places are the natures, the entity of God's creations... It makes me more appreciative of the beauty of the " Mother Nature "...
I stayed at Hotel Aranjuez (loved it!!!) and they recommended Soda Isabel. The owner, Victor, makes me feel at home. It's always my 1st and last night in CR, cuz I visit friends in Perez Zeledon.

We want our last stop to stay ON the beach if possible--we are ocean people and want o body surf, scuba, etc.
Just got back from a fantastic visit to Costa Rica.....loved the people and all the sites. Would go back as soon as I can. should have done it 30 years ago when I was able to hike and ride rafts, not the best place for the older slower folk, but so glad I didn't miss the adventure.
I dreamt of visiting Costa Rica since childhood, but living so apart, its difficult to afford. In my dream i seen the surfs and vast sandy beach, and the excellent people living there. The experience of visiting the place also enriched my knowledge. Thank you for sharing the tour.
