Well only a few days and we are off to the world of the everlasting rain drop.
Armed with my new camera, and my wife (in no particular prefferential order!) I am looking forward to surviving the plane trip, and enjoying the holiday.
Hi Ben and Rose - thanks for the excellent update on your trip so far. Great to follow your progress. Loved the photos. Too bad about your favourite player! Hope you enjoy the game. Will write more later and get Dad to add a bit too. Am just off to church and then going to G'pas this arvo with the girls to share a Chrissy Eve afternoon with him. Love you lots - Mum x
Rah! for the Sonics even without their second best player! It's 12.45 early Christmas morning and I must be crazy to be still up. Had a great day at Grandpa's with Ang, Deb and families and Lyn and her girls dropped in and also Karen and Tony and family. Was a good day. Leraya and Haileigh came back to our place afterwards and finished off painting some decorations we've been making for the Christmas tree. Dad asked me to be sure to pass on to you that you can request aisle seats on the plane trips - so you might like to check that out. Not sure if it has to be done when you book - but you could try. Gotta go and get some sleep - big day tomorrow with two friends joining Dad and I at home for Christmas lunch and then the normal gang over in the evening minus two special people who shall not be named! Have a great day. Love and blessings - Mum & Dad xxxxx
Happy Christmas Ben and Rose (American time). Was great to speak to you on the phone yesterday. Thanks for your call and Christmas greetings (Aussie time). Was going to check your site earlier this morning but was having trouble with the phone line. OK now. Had a good day yesterday. Lunch with Pat and Margaret at our place which was different but good. Evening with the Jack and Carol Goodes and Lisa and Graham. Have some video. Wish I'd thought to get them all to give you a message on the day but maybe some will be clicking into your journal. It's a great way to keep in touch. Soooo sorry to hear of your wet experiences. Maybe I should have included TWO umbrellas! Were you able to use it whilst standing at the gridiron game? Hope you're having a great day today and that weather is a bit kinder. It's been amazing cool here too - a bit too chilly to be outside -but no rain. Leraya slept over last night and first thing this morning she was playing her toy piano which we gave her complete with microphone, stool etc. It's great and does lots of things which she loves. Missed you yesterday but it was good to be able to speak to you. Thanks again for your call and enjoy the rest of your Chrissy Day. Lots and lots of love - Dad and Mum xxxxx PS - wasn't able to access the deafening roar of the crowd but maybe Ang will show me how later in the day when she calls in. Love and kisses - Mum xxx
Hey guys. Happy Christmas! It sounds like you are having a great time over there. The journal has been awesome..its great to be able to follow your trip. Ben, I never thought i'd hear you say you actually enjoyed a day of shopping! The weather sounds awful but i know the excitement of being in a different place makes up for it. Im pleased those sonics were able to get a win for you at your first NBA game! We all missed you guys last night for Christmas dinner! I look forward to hearing about more of your trip. Take care guys. Love Nat

Hi rose and ben! With a bit of help we've signed up.. Just thought we'd say thanks keeping us all updated..the journal and pictures are fantastic! Enjoy the ballet on Wednesday night (much more entertaining than the basketball!) The Maddox's are coming over for the evening meal shortly...The Australians are doing very well in the cricket..That's about all the news we've got from little old Adelaide Love Dad and Mum xoxo
Hi again Ben and Rose, Sorry to hear about your misadventures on Christmas Day. I had little sleep Christmas Eve also - stayed up too late which certainly doesn't make for sparkling spirits the next day but sounds like you were able to catch up with sleeping in. The International Church sounds really interesting, and I'm sure extra interest for you with the Seahawks players frequenting the worship there. Have had a quiet day today catching up on some computer work. I came across a great Christmas download which I'd love to share with you but I'm not sure I can. It came as an attachment with an email. Any suggestions? Grandpa's 86th birthday tomorrow. Will visit and then probably go to Angie's with Deb for our normal Thursday family get together. Weather has been really pleasant here - not too hot and not too cold. I have a time conversion on my PDA and I notice that it is 12.03 a.m. Wed. in Seattle so you are probably already asleep. Hope you enjoyed the day at Alki Beach and the Festival of Harvest not to mention the Sonics v. N. Orleans. Hope the Sonics had another victory. Love and kisses - Mum and Dad Goode. xxx
