Plus Alba D'Oro Camping: Do make sure that you hop on to the last shuttle bus to return to the campsite, unless you want to hire a taxi. Even the public bus to the campsite ends its service at 10.30pm!
When you go to the vatican city (for the museum and Sistine Chapel), go at around noon-2:00 and GET THE TOUR! No matter how early you get there (unless you camp outthe night before), there will be a huge line. With the tour you skip the huge line and they point out some really great stuff that you aren't likely to see yourself. It's pretty cheap, too. You can find tour guides setting up tours outside, just find one that speaks your language. Trust me, you save three to four hours of waiting in line and it only costs you about ten euros more. Remember, time is money... what's your time worth while you're on vacation in Rome?
