Today we arrived at Los Angeles International Airport after some fourteen hours flying. It took some time to find a suitable money vending machine (ATM) as quite a few of them were broken. We had been given instructions to wait for a bus at the purple stop. We pushed our bags to the bus stop and waited until our bus arrived. It took quite some time. I watched as other rental buses came and went - leading me to wonder if we had even signed up with a legitimate rental company.

After some kafuffle - me and Jess waited in the cold, outside, for ages - we had our rental car. Pictured here , the car is pretty cool. With it came an impressive GPS unit for easy navigation - or so we thought! All was going well until about 20 mins into the trip when the lady who usually told us which way to turn, announced 'battery dead'. After some struggle we managed to make it back to the rental car site for a replacement.

We finally arrived at our hotel as it was beginning to get dark (after initially driving past it)! We also saw our first glimpse of Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure's newest ride, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - it looked pretty impressive.

For tea that night we went to Mimi's Cafe. The food was really nice and the service was fantastic. We also tried our hand at tipping.

Overall, a great first day.

i loved the dumbo where you fly up in the air and i also liked peter pans flight where you felt like you were flying and i liked soarin over califronia and i liked pirates of the caribbean

Hi, I'm going to Disneyland at the end of March. I have never been and my husband and I are bring our two kids. We are staying at the Anahem Morriott. Our kids are 10 year old daughter and a 7 year old son. What shows are going to be worth the lines? And we got a food plan is the food and value good?

I love planning my disneyland trip through AAA because you get all this great free things. Me and My family got free fill up cups that you could refill at Disneyland's Pizza Planet and California Adventure's Farmers Market. We also got prefered seating at all the really good shows especially the Aladan Show. I love the new Pirates of the Carribean ride. I love the farther drop. I was traveling with 3 children me and my husband and my mother. It was one of the best disneyland trips my family has ever been on. We stayed at the Desert Palms Inn and Suites. It is about a 7 minute walk to the front gate of Disneyland but we had a great experience. The breakfast was great. We got there a day early and rested and the next 4 days went to disneyland and california adventure then the next day got up and drove home. All and all it was a great experience but next time I think I will stay somewhere a little closer. When you are planning a trip to disneyland plan it through AAA you get really good benefits.
