Springfield AirShow

The trip was fine. As I was looking for the hotel I got lost. They are tearing up the streets and the streets are all one ways but 4 lanes. When I found the hotel. They gave me a room on the 5th floor and a door with 2 peep holes. Every half hour I hear a train whistles. I hope it doesn’t blow at night. I am 1 blk south of the Capital building.
Tomorrow. I am going to the air show. Breakfast was great the had more then the other hotels. The Air Show was ok because some of the best acts flew before the show started.
Seeing the jets up close was very cool. There was a lot of family activities such a rock climbing wall, dodge ball games and wrestling matches. They also had a Car jump into cars with fire works. The newest act was a hang glider that was pulled by a pickup truck and the pilot was a paraplegic. The music was too loud with the acts. They had too much
Down time between acts. They Need to speed it up and get better acts for a great show.
I will consider coming back if there are better acts and possibly get an hotel closer to the airport.
