Summer in Chicago

If you would like to see pictures from any of the following places you can email me at suitepee2@yahoo.com I do have a few pictures of the bathroom from the Cass Hotel.

Cass Hotel                                                                                                                                                For the price and location this hotel was great. The staff was very helpful with directions. There is no parking for this hotel but there is a parking garage around the corner and is only $21 a night if you are validated at the hotel. The only thing that I would have changed would be new shower curtains and an actual shower in the single bed rooms. There was no divide between the shower and the floor so the water leaked out onto the carpet.

John G Shedd Aquarium                                                                                                                         I loved the Aquarium! Everything from the huge turtle to the whales to the dolphins, it was all great!

The Field Museum                                                                                                                              This museum was very interesting you can learn a lot here. Plan on spending about 2 hours here to cover everything.

Wendella Boat Tours                                                                                                                        This tour was great! Being able to see the skyline on the water was amazing. The tours fill up fast and the lines form fast so buy tickets early and get there early to get a good seat.

Museum of Science and Industry                                                                                                   This was the worst place we visited. The staff for the make your own toy exhibit was very rude. Don't let your children do this alone they may be scared of the staff. The kitchen staff at the pizza area are also rude, so be aware. Along with a rude staff half of the hands on exhibits were under construction.

Hard Rock Cafe                                                                                                                                     If you are into music you have to check this place out! They had an outfit from Elton John and Paul Stanley of KISS not to mention a lot of guitars signed by the likes of Shirley Manson of Garbage, Poison, Lenny Kravitz, and Paul Stanley of Kiss. The food is good too. I suggest trying the  buffalo chicken sandwich and a side salad.

Art Institute                                                                                                                                         What can I say? If you love art you should check it out. They are currently adding a new modern wing that will be amazing once it is finished. The staff here is very helpful and polite. They are currently selling mobiles modeled after the work of Alexander Caulder, if you have the extra cash pick one up they are beautiful!
