Mon 03/20/06 (day 1)

Singapore Airlines

Flew from Manchester (UK) to Singapore with Singapore Airlines. The flight was suprisingly enjoyable. Plenty of entertainment options on the flight with on-demand audio and video. It was a day flight so didn't need to sleep, which is a good job because I can't sleep on airplanes. It was roughly 13 hours out (13.5 hours back).

Very nicely done! More details and explanantions that the guy (?) who did the 2007 trip and the addition of your photos was a very nice touch. I can't wait to go - hopefully in 2009! Thanks for including the bit about the jet lag as I was tempted to chose a tour that didn't have any free days / days on your own, your comments convinced me to take the tour that has the 'days off'. Seems like eating out isn't a problem, much like choosing a place in the U.S. (where I'm at) when I've traveled. Don't know about renting a car tho as we Americans drive on the 'wrong' side of the road! :-) I was more worried about it being too cold than too hot as I am from Florida and can take the heat and humidity better than the cold!
