Renting motorcycles and riding down the Pacific Coast. Starting from San Francisco taking the trip down south. Visit to Hearst Castle and the occasional stop by a beach. Another stop in Los Angeles to visit the sites and a taping of the Tonight Show. Finally, rounding out the trip with a stop into Tijuana. We bring back the bikes to San Diego and fly back home to Chicago.

flight in stopped in las vegas. Nice to see the different casinos/hotels, at a cost of another 2 hrs added to the flight.
The bike rental place was small and old. joe eorks the counter and is a nice young dude. They didnt have my sportster so they gave me another bike. same fee but i didn't like the extra weight needed. got a black fatboy. saddlebags turned out to be small but got everything in. strapped my backpack tothe backrest and had to use electical tape to fasten it down. got some mexican food when the paperwork was finally done. drove up to san fran and it starts raining. a windscreen is nice but aweful in the rain. i couldnt see anything after a while which tends to be a bad thing while driving a motorcycle.

What a great looking trip! I hope the weather holds up for you! Please let us know how it was. I would love to do the same (if I can get in shape for it!)
