It looks stormy and cold, doesn't it? Don't be fooled! It was 98 degrees F with 100% humidity (sticky, stick, yucky, yucky). I was not made to live in Florida.
Cute little lizard we saw on the way.
Day 1
Foot and and bridge at Sanibel Island Resort
This is what we saw when we peeked over the foot bridge. Swamp cabbage!
Day 1
The Boardwalk
Here is a photo of the footpath that we used throughout the park
Spent the first week in May, 2007 at Captiva Island. The weather was perfect, the beach is incredible and I plan to return again this upcoming spring. The absolute best vacation ever!
I went to Ft. Myers/Sanibel Island several years ago. The shell factory was a most memrable experience. I'd love to return there. I haven't been to that area for sometime, so I know there are many changes since I was there last.
We went to Sanibel Island in June! We want to go back soon! The beach is awash with beautiful seashells. The people are friendly and the restaurants are excellent. We were there during Alberto and still had fun! I loved swimming in the ocean and seeing two dolphins arch up near us!
I traveled to Sanibel/Captiva/Fort Myers last May and absolutely loved it. I would love to go back again...the weather was perfect and I cant believe how many shells wash up on shore. The restaurants are great, plenty to do and the sunsets are priceless. I'd highly recommend this to everyone...great trip!
My extended family has vacationed on Captiva for the past 18 years. We have enjoyed watching our our children (and their friends) grow up on the white sand beaches.
I haven't been to that area for sometime, so I know there are many changes since I was there last.
