I was very excited about the trip because it was my first time traveling by myself. When I arrived at the airport, immediately I exchanged some yen because my friends suggested that, and travel guide pointed that only banks/post offices will have currency exchange. The airport was well-planned and luggage storage and currency exchange counter was so easy to find. Oh, renting a mobile phone at the airport was the only rental place, if u needed one.

Then, I proceeded to the information counter to ask about how to get to my hostel Khaosan Tokyo Annex in Asakusa. The representative was very friendly and gave me the details. So, I followed the direction and was able to reach Asakusa station. But, it was already dark... may be around 7pm; I had a hard time checking the map and was lost :( Luckily stranger on the street was kind enough to bring me to the hostel! Yay~~~
The staff at the hostel was very friendly. He showed me to the room and handed me a map with places of interest. One-drink per night was free at their bar too! I met a new friend from the hostel then we headed to drinking. The bar was a few block from my hostel but it was definitely safe to walk in the dark.
