Thursday - Arrival/dinner
Our drive in was a nice one...we left Albany at 10pm so Logan would sleep in the car on the way out there. He did for the most part. We made frequent stops, none-the-less. We hit Chicago around 3pm, but ended up getting stuck in traffic on the Dan Ryan. We got to the hotel shortly after 4pm. Firstly they had us down for a smoking suite, which is not what I reserved. Then they corrected the problem but we then had to wait 30 mins (with a cranky toddler) for our room to be cleaned. The suite itself was nice, but one of the phones didn't work at all, one of the tv's had issues with the remote and turning on/volume. The air conditioner was a small window unit, that didn't cool the room off very well. The shower had amazing water pressure though, which was the big redeeming thing, that the refridgerator, and the king size bed, which was very comfy.
We had dinner in the Thai Spoon just off the lobby of the hotel. The food was good, but the service was kinda slow...we had a very cranky screaming toddler...you'd have though they would have served us fast so we could go...If you order a bubble tea ask for no tapioca...it's gross!
