Arrival

We arrived at Jose Marti (he's a Cuban martyr you'll see more than Che) airport after around 20 hours of travelling. Exhausted but awake with excitement we made our way of the plane and into the terminal, through customs (which was smooth enough) and onto a bus that visits each of the popular hotels around Havana. We stayed at the 5* Hotel Nacional.

For the people doesn't know Cuba.... Please don't Gooooo !!!!
Do Not spend your money in a place is not worth it !!!
As Cuban-American, Cuba has been under a communist government
over 50 years, and we all have the moral issue of free Cuba
instead of bringing our dollars to support that regimen !!!

For you all that want to visit Cuba go ahead!!!. For those that live in US there is not problem no more as the restrictions have changed since last year. Everybody is free to go, meaning that there is no embargo no more!!! Please don't sell yourself as a tourist and go by yourself, try to find out how Cubans lack freedom in their own country and the misery they have to face day by day. It's all about that: "THERE'S NO FREEDOM IN CUBA". Cuba has suffered a communist repression for more than 51 years. The economic disaster is secondary to the lack of democracy. In case you don't know Cuba is the only country in the world that keep political prisoners isolate for years. It's the only country in where the basic human rights have been violated for more than 51 years. My best recommendation go and visit a local hospital such as "Covadonga" or "Dependiente" and you'll see. Try to see the reality and not what they are trying to show you. Hope you'll post your comments once you comeback. To have fun and find hospitality you can go anywhere in the Caribbean. Please don't mess around with the Cubans' misfortune!!!!

Mannn, guess im just not too aware of politics that i why im staying young. What i mean is that all of a sudden i just felt like going to Cuba so yeah yeah i loooked here and there and even looked through flight schedule from Tampa Florida, since that's where i will be visiting and beibng there i just thought I'd take advantage and head to Cuba from there. Whwen i finalized my flight, I'm like Woahhhhhhhh when i read theta trhe flight was not possible due to Goverment restrictions. Now i read that there are limited areas from where you can actually fly to Cuba.I'm wondering, if i go what things sgould i bring with me to Cuba that i wouldn't be able to find there. What can i bring as compliment gifts to any good frineds i make. I really plan to go to Cuba sometime in December. Living in California, is my best bet leaving out off Cancun or Tijuana. Thanks and i will be looking forward for your comments

I'd like to go to Cuba. As much as I read that nobody really has a problem going in and out, can somebody tell me what it's like to actually go into the airport and get through customs. What do you say. I think I'd be going through Cancun.

My next questions is where should I stay. I'd like a five-star (only time I'll actually feel like I'm getting a deal).
