A first time visitor to Egypt who wants a classical Pharaonic antiquities experience would do well to book a Nile cruise. Of course modern airlines shuttle tourists to the southern of Egypt, but historically the Nile cruise was really the only way to visit the temples and tombs located along this stretch of the river. It is still a popular means of visiting Upper Egypt and has many advantages to other means of travel .

Day 1

MS Jaz Jubilee Nile Cruise / Luxor - Aswan - Luxor / touregyptclub.com

Day 1:

Tour Egypt Club Representative will welcome and assist you upon arrival at Luxor airport or Train Station and then you will be transferred to the Nile cruise ship for embarkation and Lunch and Dinner are served on board. Enjoy music and entertainment at the lounge bar after dinner.

Day 2:

After breakfast, you will be escorted by your friendly and knowledgeable tour guide to start your tour and visit the West bank of Luxor, there you will the valley of the kings which is the memorial site of the kings of ancient Egypt, temple of the woman pharaoh Hatshepsut at El Deir EL Bahari and the two colossal statues of Memnon. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your cruise ship to start sailing towards Edffu and along the way you will stop at Esna and go through Esna lock. Lunch,Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 3:

After breakfast, your tour guide will accompany you to start a tour and visit Edfu temple which is the most complete temple in Egypt and then back to the cruise ship for lunch and to continue sailing heading to Kom Ombo. Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.

Day 4:

After breakfast, you will start your tour with your friendly and knowledgeable tour guide by visiting Philae temple of the goddess Isis and the High Dam built in 1960s. Transfer back to the cruise boat, lunch and dinner are served on board, overnight on board.

Day 5:

Free day in Aswan with an optional excursion to Abu Simbel either by bus or by flight to see rock cut temples built by Ramses the second and then back to the cruise ship for overnight.

Day 6:

Sail to Kom Ombo and visit Kom Ombo temple which is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and falcon god Horous. Back to the cruise ship to continue sailing to Edfu & Esna, lunch and dinner are served on board, overnight on board.

Day 7:

Arrive at Luxor, and after breakfast, you will visit the majestic Luxor temple and Karnak temple which is known to be the largest divine complex in the world. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.

Day 8:

Disembarkation and free time at your leisure with a chance to visit the local market for shopping and then transfer to Airport or Train Station for departure.
