El Minya:

EL Minya lies about 153 miles south of Cairo and it has been one of important historical centers in ancient Egypt, so it has some of the unique monuments which are scattered within the limits of this province to include Beni Hassan,Hermopolis,Tuna el-Gebel and Tell el-Amarna. The tombs which are cut out in the rock have exquisite craftsmanship and the relics of the Old Kingdom, First period of decline and new kingdom are important from the historical point of view, especially in Tel El Amarna , the capital established by Amenophis IV (Akhenaten).

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel by your tour guide and drive to El Minya, te trip will take aroud 3 hours and when you reach EL Minya, you will visit Beni Hassan which is Necropolis located on the east bank of Nile some 23 km north of EL-Minya, dating principally to the 11th and 12th Dynasties (2125-1795 BC) Overnight in hotel.

After breakfast you will continue your tour with your guide to visit Tuna el Gebel which is very close to Tel EL Amarna, the capital of Egypt at the time of Akhenaten, the pharaoh who changed the religion of Egypt. Drive back to Cairo.
