(Oct12, 2013) Day01: Arrival in Beijing (D)Image

Upon arrival in Beijing, the capital of China, we will greeted in the Beijing Airport and will be transferred to downtown for dinner. Afterwards, transfer to hotel to have a good rest.

Hotel: Oriental Bay International Hotel or similar

Day02: Beijing (B/L/SD)

In the morning, we will tour Forbidden City. The magnificent Forbidden City is the largest and the best-preserved imperial palace complex in the world. Afterwards, we will be back to hotel for a nap. Tonight, the Peking Duck Special dinner will be served, and after which we will have a night visit to the Tiananmen Square, which serves not only Beijing's symbol but also the whole of China.

Day03: Beijing (B/L/D)

Today we visit the Great Wall, which is one of the 'Eight Wonders of the World' and is enlisted in the World Heritage Directory. This man-made structure winds dragon-like across Northern China. After lunch, we enjoy a relaxing Hutong Tour by rickshaws visiting the old Beijing lanes. By this, we can fully explore the real life of ordinary people in Beijing. This evening, we will enjoy the famous acrobatic show.

Continue our wonderful Beijing tour by visiting the Temple of Heaven, where emperors presided over prayers and rituals for good weather and bountiful harvests in ancient time. Later, we pay a visit to Summer Palace. Being the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, Summer Palace has long since been recognized as 'The Museum of Royal Gardens'. Afterwards, we fly to Xi’an, which records the great changes of China just like a living history book.

Day05: Xi'an  (B/L/SD)  

Visit the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, which are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. In the afternoon, visit the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum. Tonight, we will be served a dumpling banquet and the Tang Dynasty Dances & Music Show.

Day06: Xi'an/Chongqing (B/L/D)

After hotel breakfast, take a morning flight to Chongqing, which is the starting point for our Yangtze River Cruise, which explores the stunning scenery of the Three Gorges. Before actually boarding the cruise, we will pay a visit to the Panda House. Embark the cruise after dinner.

Day07: Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)Image

Today we begin the exciting river passage. Cruising along China’s longest river, which passes through the center of China and empties into the East China Sea, our four- day journey on the vast waterway covers the most picturesque vista of the river. First port of call is Fengdu, famous for its ghost legends. Visit the temples, halls, and statues of ghosts and devils. Watch the displays of the imagined life in the underworld in the cultural park.

Cruise: Ms. Yangtze Two, 5*

Day08: Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)

Today we continue adventuring through the Gorges. Each Gorge is distinct in its own way, and the scenery changes as we navigate around each bend, whether it be perpendicular cliffs, rushing waters, or soaring mountains. You can’t simply take your eyes away from the stunningly beautiful nature. A local tender will take you from the cruise for a fun excursion up the Shennong Stream. You'll board a traditional wooden pea boat. Local boatmen will paddle you along through this lovely stream.

Day09: Yichange/Shanghai-Suzhou (B/L/D) 

This morning we will first visit the Three Gorges Dam (World’s largest power station), Disembark in Yichang. After lunch, take a short flight to Shanghai, a renowned international metropolis drawing more and more attention from all over the world. Upon arrival, coach to Suzhou, which is called 'paradise on earth'.

Day10: Suzhou (B/L/D)

Start our Suzhou city tour by visiting Garden of the Master of the Nets. It is the smallest of the Suzhou residential gardens, yet it is the most impressive because of its use of space which creates the illusion of an area that is much greater than its actual size. Later visit a Suzhou’s Silk Factory, where the reeling process for unwinding silk filaments from cocoons might fascinate us. Afterwards, visit the Santangjie Water Village by taking a relaxing boat ride on the Grand Canal.

ImageDay11: Suzhou-Shanghai (B/L/D)

After hotel breakfast, we will head back to Shanghai. We will tour the Jade Buhhda Temple, the old-time and classical architectural style of which makes the temple unique and inimitable in this modern city. Then we visit the Bund. The most famous and attractive sight which is at the west side of the Bund are the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance. Lastly, we visit the City God Temple Plaza.

Day12: Shanghai (B/L)

Continue to explore this metropolis by visiting Pudong New Developing Area, XianTianDi Area, No.1 Commercial Street Nanjing Road, etc. Free time in the afternoon.

Day13: Shanghai Departure (B)

After breakfast, we will be transferred to airport for the homebound flight. Tour ends.
