WEST 2012

finished supper....mom decided to ride her bike around the park..she took off like lightening. Her bike (adult three wheel) will fly...on the best laughs for today was when we saw a billboard that just said "Miranda Adult Store"...Mom said "Linda Gail do you recon that is Miranda Lamberts place" No Mom I do not think so...."Well it really didn't look much like her anyway".....LOL...I am sore from laughing at my wonderful and precious mom.....what a day....

Today we are going to the famous Beale Street in Memphis....got there about 10 am.....nothing there but the smell of puke and beer....this had to be the great place of stink...honest what stores were open were not worth going in...and the nasty stuff they put on tee shirts....and Lord the signs were not fit to read....mom grabbed my arm and said....lookie linda Gail the best way to prevent a hangover Is to stay drunk....it was on a sign....so we left with 2.24 worth of post cards...not much fun.

Oh how I wish you could have been a fly on the wall As we filled up with fuel this evening...it was 333 so I pulled in to quickly discover we were really in the minority...mom said "oh God Gail here comes a woman in a wheelchair and she only has one leg...what will I do if she ake me for money,,,,,,I ain't go no money what will I tell her.....now mom just tell her to go on..NO SISTER you tell her I'm going in the store....well there was two other little folks selling melted Hershey bars at the door. I looked back at the pump and the one legged woman was trying to push my door shut so she could get to me...I started yelling "no English ...no English....I quickly looked for mom because I knew she did not go into the store...children she was hid outside behind a newspaper stand.....many spookie folks was making me nervous so I spoke a language most understand...I opened my glovebox and showed the one legged woman my smith and Wesson...as I was trying to me mom in the truck...she hurried to her side jumped in and locked her door...well she asked where did that woman go.....mom it is ok'd all I saw was the back of her head as she left in a hurry.sid came out of the store with out a clue as to what went on..I love this day...

9 am got VIP passes to tour Graceland spent four hours watching and remembering Elvis....really this place is so depressing and sad....42 year old man died with drugs....could have been such a strong impact on folks....his grave was so sad....ready to leave Memphis and head for Little Rock AR. Somewhere in AR is the Bill Clinton museum we are on 64 just outside Clinton AR"...I heard St Louis has the arch as you head west but the entrance to this place is not an arch but a zipper.....funny..... We have drove so long and cant find a place to stay....finally about an hour age we found a place in Harrison, AR,,,,beautiful Ozark Mts."time for bed...thank you LORD for safety and rest....miss y'all...will enter Branson then Springfield....next Mitchell SD then on to Keysotne...

We left Harrison, AR about 11 am for the drive to Branson....think we will see a show...if we can find one that has Conway Twitty....moma sais she loved him and nobody could sing like him.....well we hit the 76 in Branson...well Sid hit the 60 road first...then after a u turn we made it to the big strip.....we stopped to check out a mall to find out it was closed due to the storm...saw a sign for lunch and a show...staring Conway ! Johnny Cash,,,Neil Diamond...willy Nelson and yes ELVIS.... so we went in early and here came the star....Bill.....he stopped and shook our hand.....so 1 pm came and lunch was served....BBQ cold bun.....chips...cole pickle...and unsweetened tea".."..a next the music started with....you guest itConway"....Bill walked out on stage and said "Hello Darlin" well I thought momma was going to stand up....Lord @ Linda Gail he sounds jut like him.....well we all yelled and clipped right up to the time ELVIS came on stage....as soon as he put a white scarf round his neck this 87 year old woman got up...walked to the stage opened her arms....children he came off the stage and put it round her neck....momma said...now ain't that something...then he sang love me tender....one of my favorite...the house lights came on...Elvis (Bill) came to our table...took momma by the hand pulled her up sang to her...then kissed her wiped his face with a yellow scarf...put it round her neck...I almost died.....mom was so excited....we all yelled and sang along ...personally I thought the crowd sounded pretty good .....well. How good can 10 people sound... No kidding just 10 but moma got the scarf....on to Bass pro shop for Sid to play....just now at KOA we finished a pizza and it is off to bed...heading to Omaha tomorrow...go ahead sing in your sleep mom does....I have enjoyed her so much...Praise God for her health and friendship..

Had. Sausage and pancakes outside...so nice...mom washed clothes...we put up camper..headed to Bass pro shop for one last fling....the old gps we got several Christmas ago was not current with new roads...so off to Walmart for a new lifetime free map update.....Sid started driving...hot today...we stopped at fuel station for a root ber and Long John Silvers....A&W..can't beat it....now headed to Nebraska ....mom asked what was a zero zone....I told her I didn't know....several miles down the road she said well sister you better watch it here is another warning....I read the sign and busted out laughing...MOM it is ozone not zero zone...Land sakes how funny she is...the best one for today was when I asked Sid to PLEASE make me a picture of the Nebraska state sign....y'all know leaving MO on highway 29 takes you through about 6 miles in Iowa before you cross thr MO river into Nebraska ...when Sid got ready to take the picture he said 'oh my God we are in I owe A ....moma said Sid what did you put in the machine....Oh God wwe are as lost as a man in sin....guys I almost ran off the road laughing at them.....now the temp here was 102 but we are cool and resting....waiting to eat that Omaha steak tomorrow then to Sioux City...they will faint when we renter IOWA...lol....happy trails....

Left Victoria trail in Nebraska City , NE this morning did not eat anything...waiting on an Omaha Steak....We to Camping world to have the air bags checked...not a problem in Iowa just give them our number and they will call us next week...MAN I cannot wait in your town for a week....we left....as we entered Nebraska Sid was driving and I was reading (so was mom)...finally he saw a sign that read Cabela's next exit....OH I WANT to go MAWMAW can I please go...so we stopped....found some neat stuff and heard about the best steak house in Omaha NE..Anthony's just "off the 72" what is the 72...oh just go down to light take the 80 downtown to the 72 and exit where Anthony is.....I KNEW I did want Sid to drive down town so I would not tell him the directions....sister when I got that truck started we only had fumes....really...he said he saw the Cabel's sign a far off and never looked down because he was scared he would miss the exit...OMG!!!! i went to the first station...then we had a great steak...I mean great....full belly full tank of gas and on the road again...We stopped to change drivers...I was tired and was looking for the first campground....NEW GPS directed me to the 445....2.5 mile...honest to God this is the truth...it was a gravel road..I took a picture...we stopped and a couple was at their vehicle just as I rolled the window down the man said.."ask her" and pointed to the woman..so about 8 miles on this gravel road about sunset I was worried...mom leaned over to me and said "Linda Gail I don't think that woman knew what she was talking about"..Sid was on his cell phone looking at a navigation app...LORD help me...Momma finally said and I mean she said it loud..."OH Bull that woman would'nt know good s*#* from hot apple butter....Oh my heavenly father I almost drove off the road into the Nebraska corn field....I said MOMA don't say that "Well Gail you know if you gave her apple butter in one plate and poop in the other she would not know the difference....FINALLY at Salem, South Dakota and ready for a shower....mom walked out of the shower stall and just looked bewildered...mom what is wrong....so help me God Linda Gail you have to put a quarter in a box just for a six minute shower...have you ever heard of such a thing...guys I gave her two quarters and I think she got clean from the 8 mile gravel road ride...after the dust settled today the sun set was breath taking..Thank God for moma's we sure are having a ball. Happy trains on this day 7...

Day 8.....Let me tell you something....where ever you work it is important to be good at what you do...God gave us gifts...mine is nursing and teaching....Sid and Moms is not nursing....last night I got a splinter in my foot.....I tried for about 10 hours off and on to get the blessed thing out with out letting them know....when the pain over took me I asked mom to try and help me get the splinter out because I could now see where it was on my heel area..."give me a needle and burn it and I will get it out" ....so Sid decided that would take to much time and pulled out his pocket knife....he started picking at an area and mom had her needle helping him...every time the knife would leave my heel mom would fly in with her needle....GUYS....GUYS....ya'll killing me.....well I think I bout got it...is this it??? Mom said no Sid here it is....I pulled my leg away and they both had separate spots they were picking and neither were right...we started laughing...children you know to get outside to relieve yourself of gas....a small camper is not the place...next came the lysol...Lord this place smelt like a sewer.....So we leave Salem SD and head for Mitchell where the corn palace is...great time....next off hwy 90 we stopped at the 1800 town..this is the place they filmed the movie "Dances with Wolves"... a really neat town....Now at Cedar Pass Lodge and campground...we have settled in for the night..Tomorrow....THE BADLANDS AND WALL DRUG STORE.....Overall a really blessed day....Sid cooked breakfast and mom fixed supper....me...well I am just loving the life and the friendship I have with these two remarkable loving folks....find a few like them if you can and hit the trail...We love you..thanks for praying...we have been safe......Happy Trails..

Badlands are amazing...Sid petted a prairie dog...Wall, SD was cute...great ice cream....now in black hills at fort Ikindalikeit....the best day yet....many pictures ....I prayed last night and ask God to please take care of the air bag problem...HE DID....always faithful...we got a little lost today somehow we went to belmar not wal mart...it was funny...settled in for the night.....tomorrow Mt Rushmore .....no rush here just loving this time...OH FYI if you do travel to the badlands and go where the tunnel in the pictures show hold your breath...it is really scary ....and when you set up camp and have a headache from wondering if you were going to fall off one of these bad mountains.....just remember.....put the toilet seat in your camper down before you open the medicine cabinet to get a Tylenol...when your Tylenol drops in the toilet....your headache gets worse....just a nugget of gold for you to think about...really the best day yet...God is so good to us...hey we will see y'all later....happy trails ..

Going to sleep in Buffalo, Wyoming ...started in Custer state park,,,Sid got mt up bout 0530 ready to see buffalo I prayed he would see a few...never dreamed he would see hundreds....much wildlife ....then on to keystone , sd to see Mt Rushmore ....we went under four tunnels ....9 feet wide and 12'2" tall I was scared to death...we ate lunch in the camper before we went to Rushmore....mom calledCharlene and dads brother Thurlen....we plan to see them this week...we were rerouted from highway 212 because of the fire...a great day and a great place to rest....we ate supper in Gillette, Wyoming.....tomorrow we wil go to Cody we hope to see a rodeo...mom and Sid are so funny...their friendship is priceless...as soon as we unloaded the camper tonight mom got on her bike and started riding around the park....I am sharing today's pictures will all...I hope you enjoy looking...I sure enjoyed taking them. I finally got Sid to Rest some he has Been so excited about the wildlife...he wants to see an elk and a rattlesnake.... God bless you on this Lords day...keep us in your prayers....happy trails

spending night in Bert's backyard....no room for campers tonight...may not have service until Thursday....look at pics....mom said if we were without that long we would just do and Opal said ,,,,,just take a whor#'s bath....so off we go ,,,no service....catch ya'll on Thursday....happy trails..

Day 11 Big Horn...Shell...Cody Bert’s backyard.....This morning we started into Big Horn National Forest....before we entered the park a moose crossed the road....OMG it was so amazing......Mom has been working her puzzle books or reading some...really she has done great...as we went through Shell Sid wanted to stop at an antler place.....look at day 11 pictures.....$300.00 each...Sid said he wanted to “Get my own”...The country here is unbelievable....sheep..moose elk...buffalo...and the plants thrive on about one inch of water a year.....Next we stopped at Buffalo Bills dam..(Not the Hoover Dam..we will see that in about a week or 10 days...All this was built without metal......took 5 years...our little driver took us to the door on a golf cart....so sweet...(says mom)..off for the night...here is where we did not have a place to stay nor service so I had to make this 11 day short.....IT WAS NOT..... NOWHERE WE LOOKED HAD ANYTHING FROM HOTEL TO CABIN.... that is when Earl told us to go see Bert....I slept with my guy beside my bed all night. Take a look at the moon coming up....it was breathtaking....off to bed LOrd what will we run into tomorrow>>>>>>>happy trails.

Day 12 July 3 2012 Yellowstone National park. Well I just realized the moon and some of Bert’s backyard are on day 12 pictures....Sid is determined to see a long horn sheep....before we entered the park we filled the truck up with fuel and water in the holding tank....not knowing what we would run into ....or run from....Ready.....YELLOWSTONE.......buffalo...like crazy.....Sid spotted the coyote...it was walking away and I done a Jennifer YEEEEEE sound....it stopped turned to look at me ...that was when I got the best picture.....When I saw the antelope.....I yelled oh look cantaloupe.....oh I was excited....we all laughed.....as we checked into campground the temp was 68....our site was table and dirt.....we se up the camper...cooked supper and mom made us some coffee on a steno burner. We all had showers in the camper...yep hot water....NICE...sorry but I was to tired to get the full moon picture...maybe tomorrow....there is a chill in the air tonight......rest well....we are...happy trails.

Day 13 July 4 2012 GOODMORNING .....39 degrees out side....52 inside...I turned on the furnace....we got warm....had pancakes and bacon with coffee....ready for “Ole faithful today..”....checked out and the air bag would not hold air....there was a hold in it...not much of a problem BUT the bag was rubbing the tire...could cause a blow out... we have plans to stay at the lake tonight....HOWEVER we had to go back to the campground which was less than one mile and switch our plans to stay at Canyon again....we got the last site...so we unloaded the camper....now the air bags are not rubbing.....locked everything up and took off to see the famous Ole Faithful blow. We took about 6 hours riding through the park and seeing sites....much fun...we have plans to get the air.... bags taken off in the morning ....then we can haul the camper 3 hours to Idaho where we found a Ford dealership that will put a new set on for us....we ended the night at base with a HOT shower and washed all our clothes...so we have asked the Lord to protect us and guide us as we follow the plans we have prayed about...God is sweet that way always faithful...When I get service I will post the pictures but for now all I can do is write...Good night....happy trails...

Day 14 July 5 2012....Sid took truck down to station to get the air bags taken off.....I talked to Robert at Broadway Ford in Idaho Falls about the air bags....We plan to stay tonight in the Teton Mountains...then on to Idaho...By Friday we should have air bags on and let mom visit with Charlene....MAN I LOVE THIS TRIP....Mom is doing great and so is Sid....I have shifted into a new state...I call it “RUSHNOMORE::::We decided to cross the Teton pass after we came through the Grand TETON mountains....after two or three hours we came to the bottom of the hill.....elevation at the top was 8442.....we stopped to make mom’s picture of her entering Idaho....as I walked back to the truck I saw a sign on the opposite side of the road that read...”Welcome to WY.....well we got the air bags off and the truck is not in danger of hurting anything....so we are traveling easy....now in Idaho Falls....we plan to meet Charlene tomorrow....I think mom is more excited than she acts.....she gets a little girl look on her face every now and then...it is so sweet.....Sid is doing a great job driving...we share the drive...I did not expect that by now I thought I would have killed him....BUT all is well..... coming over the Teton pass we got what I thought was a flake of snow....no it is rain...so I stand corrected by Amos and Andy.....we stopped and the half plate to eat and on to Snake River Campground for the night.......after we set up we are drinking coffee and watching a fire...FYI if you ever travel in these parts talk like them....or else everyone will ask you where you are FROM.....by the way I cannot tell you the last just English speaking person I have heard.....behind me there are two women....you know two women...trying to put a camper beside us....momma said that they could not drive a snake.....maybe that is why just two women....lol.....have a blessed day and happy trails......

Got up this morning at Snake River RV Park....little did we know that Charlene was less than a mile from us....Sid had pancakes mom and I had coffee...it was free for grumpy bears....next we found the Ford dealership that put our new air bags on the truck.....than we went for lunch at Applebee's ....it was great...now truck fixed."on to see Charlene and Bill.....married 51 years..what a pair....we pulled up I had my camera ready and the moment this trip was all about happened....mom and Charlie "Charlene" embraced. WHAT A MOMENT."it was like time stood still....the grin they had cannot be put into words....we went into their home and visited for a spell....then took pictures and left for Delco where we are spending the night in a great RV park....Mom said Charlie was just the same.....so sweet and loving...just as she remembered....today's pictures are so special because we found the trailer park mom and dad moved to in 1959. the Lord allowed us to talk to the land owner.....many memories.....many stories from mom....a couple of times we got a tear in our eye.....life has changed so much since this trailer park...now a vacant lot...the flood of 1976 changed so many things here...mom thinks we moved to NC about 64 or 65......a very emotional day.....we watched the sunset..I took a great pic of the love of my life " Mr. Sid"....for all you out there that have questions about your past..well there is no time like the present to ask some questions...2917 miles from home and we found many answers....so hit the road and get out here....happy trails...

WHOW what a day....we left Echo OR...where my dad's brother lives....MY UNCLE THURLIN......MINE....He is so much my sweetheart and I love him....we did not spend the night with him...he just finished about 30 radiation treatments and I could tell he did not feel well....so we stayed about an hour and hit the road....tonight we are ocean front in Depoe Bay, OR beautiful spot....we have had a very blessed day....just loved the ride and the fellowship....I will NEVER forget this trip....the other day a beautiful (VERY BEAUTIFUL) mother yelled at her 12 or 13 year old daughter to hurry and leave the bathroom...mom and I were in line waiting for a stall....I could see through the crack in the stall door where these two girls were in the same stall....really.....the pretty woman yelled with a French sound voice...JUILET.....JUILET NICOLE....ARE WE HERE......the little voice from the stall said...WE WE maaammmmaaaa WE WE .....What are you taking long for JUILET NICOLE.....coming out Maammmmmaaaaa .....Vit VIT.. (I think that means to hurry) I almost said ....Look lady they are stuffing their bra with toliet paper...I have stood here watching.....BUT I DID NOT...instead when JUILET NICLOE came out of the stall she walked like Julie Roberts in pretty woman....she looked like a 40 DD ...son top heave....JUILET's mmmooooommmmaaaa did not notice...she was rapped up in herself...LORD how funny if was to see these two little girls try so hard to be "so BIG"....oh well...I am enjoying the crashing waves here at the pacific ocean on the OR coast....you should get out here it is remarkable.....until tomorrow and we head to the California coast...may have lunch with Arnold and Maria ....no just Maria...I have time to listen to her......enjoy your night we are.....happy trails...

Sunday night we spent the night on the pacific Oregon coast...ocean front... I think it was last night..I got up early to watch the sunrise...you know like we do at Myrtle beach....hot coffee...long pants and a coat....I wait.....and wait...and behind me comes the sunrise....how funny....yep if you are in Oregon or California the sun does not rise over the water....I really should have known that...dumb me..oh well.. we left and drove hwy 101 ALong the coast line....beautiful but the roads were really bad so we hit highway 5 and drove just past the California line...so tonight MONDAY we are 6 miles off the road crazy bad roads...I had to unload my gun (CA law with firearms) and get to a so nice RV park....marble vanity ....wild horses roaming on the hill....river flowing through the property...blue heron flying around...oh this is the nicest campground I have ever stayed in.....then the sticker price bout turned us back to Oregon...$65.00 for one night....it was late and I needed the handicap shower (LOL) so we settled in and ate popcorn...the stars looked like we could touch them...so very amazing...ready for a grand tour of California tomorrow....until then....happy trails...

What A LOVELY MORNING...it was like I met God walking here this morning....man this place is nice....BUT the day is calling and off we go.....to Yreak, CA and on to Redding,.....we have to find some new batteries for my camera before we hit Reno tomorrow...as we drove into town momma said "Linda gail....look every word on these signs is wrote in Mexican.....omg...I almost lost it...Mom I think it is Spanish...well what ever it is we can't read it...Children...SID was driving in 6 lanes of busy crazy people darting everywhere...I was trying to help navigate him...I watched mom.....first she looked out the window then all she done was hold her head down and play solitary on my IPad...Finally we found the right place and got the batteries.....as we pulled out onto the road....Sid ran a red light...I mean it was red......above it was a camera....SID>>>DID YOU NOT SEE THAT CAMERA>>>LORD>>>YOU REALLY JUST RAN THAT LIGHT.....Sid was quite for a moment....looked at me just as serions as he could look and ask........"did you see it flash" Guys I am crying now as I try to write this....Laughing myself to death....Sid was so serious.....well maybe if you didn't see it flash we won't get in trouble.......I am taking some pics of this sunset tonight....all I can see is the evidence of the sunset...not the true sunset......this place is so peaceful and nice....tonight in Milford, CA we hang our hat and watch the night settle in....oh how I would like to freeze this moment....quiet..calm...cool night...just the sound of several kinds of birds....a car now and then...thank you Father for allowing me to be part of this trip with the two funnest people I know....Good night.....and happy trails......on to Nevada ...RENO...tomorrow.....

we left CA this morning...last night mom said she heard something hit the camper..."sounded like someone threw a rock and hit it...then it sounded like someone rattled the door trying to get in"...during the night the sounds woke me up..I start outside...empty gun because my bullets are locked in the glove box and my empty gun inside the camper...CA gun laws......as I opened the door momma sit straight up in the bed and yelled...Linda Gail someone will knock you in the head..you better NOT go out there.....I did anyway...took the flashlight and walked around the camper..."Yea I said...looks like all kinds of animal tracks...we did see a dead cow in the field before bed....so I lock the door and turn off the flashlight.....morning came ..all was well....SId got up and said.(mind you he did not get up last night)....well looks like these pine cones fell on the camper last night...that was what we heard...but mom told him the complete story...it was a funny time....now on the RENO and through Death Valley...take care....happy trails

Day 21 July 12 2012... we left Beatty, NV 120 miles from Las Vagas....had the best blueberry and red raspberry (my favorite) pancakes...we enjoyed coffee and chatted about our plans before we left...last night when we checked in a wild acting girl came out of a trailer and said...you need a spot for the night...Yeah we do...there are three of us.....”You paying in cash....well yes I can....GOOD ..take any spot you want...don’t need ID..code to bathroom and shower is 6336...can you remember that...well yes I can...do you want my tag number or name....NO YOU PAYING WITH CASH....Guys she had to have been on medication...like for hyperthyroidism or something...she kept scratching...like behind her ears...it was so crazy...Finally I got the nerve to ask how much the spot was...$25.00 cash...you said you had cash...Do I get a receipt....yep I will have you in the morning before you leave...NEVER saw her again...Now Las Vagas....we got in the town...LV Blvd about noon....three stores were open all pawn shops. (well except casinos) ....so we walk a couple of blocks and mom said....Linda Gail I want you to read that sign over these doors to the businesses.....”open at 4 pm until 5 am” momma said...now bull I bet this place is wild as a cat at night....momma...do you smell that...what is it....the smell of pee in the sidewalk bushes....I saw a little man without a shirt...setting on a bench singing up a storm...bare footed....long white beard.....we got in the truck and headed for the Hoover dam..when we got there mom said....”NOW I am not staying here four hours”....mom I know we are just walking over the dam and taking some pictures...me and Sid don’t want to pay for a tour either...45 minutes later mom said...Gail where does the water go....mom the river is really low so the water does not go over the dam...well why do they have a dam if the water don’t go over it.....she walked off....I ask sid where she was going...Sid shook his head and said...”She told me she was going to the dam museum.....after she left the dam shopping store....I busted out laughing.....SID she is not cursing....she just meant she was going to the museum.....well she said dam anyway......Sid stood in NV and I stood in Arizona ..he took my picture..next to the sky walk at the grand canyon....but we got caught in a haboob (that is a dust storm plus rain...guys it rained mud...so dark and the wind was jerking us around so much....we had to duck take the top of the sunroof,,,the wind bout jerked it off...after 45 minutes the sky was clear and beautiful again...WHAT A DAY....well don’t get caught in a haboob....happy trails.....

Finally we got through DEATH VALLEY....children don't come out here...it is a place of death...we started with a fulltank of fuel and planned to spend the night in the first town...dried up....the second...dried up the third gas $4.00..NO campground...the local people told us to just pull off the road and camp..."It's the desert man just camp"....Crazy ...NO I will drive to a campground...so about 8 pm we pulled into a nice place$25.oo full hook up....NICE..I posted the sunset...now Sid is making coffee and blueberry pancakes for breakfast...we are on mountain time so we are three hours behind NC....plan to hil Vagas and Hoover dam today and Grand canyon tomorrow,,,,we love this.....happy trails....

What a night...I mean son we thought we would wake up in Kansas....this haboob roared all night...rained dust and mud balls...NEVER seen anything like this in my life.....so bad we left the slide out in...(if that makes a connection)..Finally the lightening stopped and the winds died down...Sid snored through it all...He had to pick out the cactus needles from our crocks...FYI if you walk in the desert...DO NOT (seek the treasure lol for Lisa) and do not wear crocks....the sunset was great but the sunshine now is perfect....IF you decide to go the the Skywalk there are a couple of things you should know....first it is a dead end road 57 miles in and out...the last 14 miles is a washboard of gravel road where tour buses DO NOT slow down..then it is about $45-75 per person for a three (3) minute guided walk...no cell phones nor camera...they will sell you a $4.15 camera for $30 or sell you one picture of you for $30.00....so we decided to drive 200 mile to the American Grand Canyon and not do the Indian West Grand canyon....No I’m not racist but the National Park is $25.00 per CAR and everything you see is FREE and you can take as long as you want...they suggest 14 days....se the pict it is breathtaking. We spent the night at Kit Carson campground and woke up to free coffee and doughnuts....what a treat....washing clothes and heading for New Mexico.....Listen the other night at a campground mom was riding her bike and two little dogs were barking like crazy...suddenly they stopped....she rode up to where I was setting and ask “LInda Gail did yoiu see that? No mom what was it.....that man at that camper came out with a red bottle and sprayed them two dogs and they both just shut up and lay down....what do you recon was in that red bottle? buddy they both just hushed..so help me it is the truth....I laughed so much at her....on a tender note....before bed last might she said we only had 7 more days and she wanted to thank me for bringing her along with us...she got teary eyed....she is so thankful to be here...she is doing so well...I am so blessed to have her at this stage in my life....I am so blessed.....so for today...happy trails...

got out of AZ and entered New Mexico....what a place....thankful for NC....momma is cared to death (I think) maybe not but she is surely uncomfortable...Linda Gail is that bunch of Mexicans ALL sleeping in that one tent,,,,yeah mom looks like.....did you see that bunch go into the bathroom....yea mom I did.....well sister the shower is full of that bunch....MOM WE ARE IN NEW MEXICO....what do you think you would.....they live here...well I'm going to Texas....yep tomorrow.... Amarillo....what a fun day...I loved the divining line..(pawpaw don't like lions) that was for Dan...take care and God bless...happy trails...

July 15 2012 Day 24 Well we left Albuquerque NM this morning after I fixed the worlds best waffle....headed to Amarillo , TX....Sid is driving and mom is playing solitary....she is in competition with Sid...she has won three in a row and that is the record....the most Sid gets is two in a row....this land is hot and looks unlivable.. the people are very nice...I bought a little box of Arizona cactus for my kitchen bar at home....they are beautiful...don’t know if they will live in the mountains or not.....I sure will not make another trip in the desert to get another.....the desert is not a fun place to be...I love mountains and a cool breeze...we had a rock or something hit the camper sunroof and jerked a hole in it...we have duck taped it and so far it is working ok....this trip has been so relaxing and enjoyable...I can’t believe it is day 24..... we made it to Texas where we saw the best sunset...Sid worked on the camper a little....very nice relaxing Lords Day...we are so blessed....when we pulled into the camp spot the crickets were really loud....momma said...SID listen to them rattlesnakes.....he cracked up...mom that is not snakes....are you sure....yes I am sure....what a fun day....happy trails

Lord I am sick today....laid in the back seat and slept....got a bug somewhere....Sid drove all day..we got to the OK city memorial and I could not go in...so weak....I did take a few pics on the sidewalk...just let me lay down for a while....guys when I got up momma told Me Sid went 210 miles one way then turned right around and went the same 210 miles right where he started from...She has Not liked setting in the front ....I think he scares her to death....anyway. We are in TX headed for Mississippi tomorrow...happy trails

Oh what a beautiful day...mom said we surely did not like the campground because we were up and gone before she had her coffee....yep that was true...I am ready for the day..I feel so much better today...here we go...well sister have you ever been to Homer, Louisiana ...???? If not you must venture this was....many folks that work hard to make a living...on every billboard is an advertisement for SWAMP PEOPLE...Jeremy would love this place...me I carry my gun or stay in the truck...look at this con that I saw today....ok. Aunt jamimia size woman....gold teeth....running a cash register...I am waiting for Sid to finish pumping fuel...three little girls walk to cash register with their mom...woman says...hello little girls are you going to wish me a happy birthday? They all did..they were so sweet...next the ask are you little girls going to give mea dollar for my birthday.....the mom did...they left....next little girl..she said...hey I just had a little baby girl and she looks a lot like you.(kid was white) so little girl says what's her name....woman says...what's your name...Angelia...well I do declare that is just the name I gave my babe...little Angelia...would you like to give me a dollar to help buy her mike....mom gave her a dollar....now it was my turn...I paid for the gas....laid her a dollar on the counter and said.....thanks for the entertainment ,.....it was worth it.....how funny?.happy trails...
