The Trip To South Beach
Today was our traveling day, we woke earlier than usual sowe could get to the airport on time. We live far away from the airport and we needed to move on rush hour so we had to hurry up. Because of us leaving early, we had to leave our puppies yesterday with their caretaker. We missed them this morning. The flight took 2 hours and the customs line took us another 2 hours. Yes! 2 hours which I thought was too long, we were starting to get very unsteady wanting to move on with trip, we were anxious to get to South Beach and our hotel. Finally, we got out of the airport and headed towards the car rental agency, we got to choose the car we wanted so we chose an orange Kia Soul and it is so cool and it has a lot of room! Great The forecast for this week in Miami Beach is rain and storms!!! So we came prepared for rain and the skies are cloudless!l yei! It is very sunny and hot, just the way we wanted it to be! So hopefully the forecast can change every day! We headed in our great rented car to South Beach. We went to the hotel, or condo actually. We reserved our stay through hotwire.com and we were supposed to be at Sunbrite Apartments but when we got there the office was closed, and there is a message that we had to go to another hotel to check-in. When we got there we had to wait and got the surprise that we were changed from hotel. Apparently, there was a flood in those apartments so they sent us to a very similar comlex called Sunset Apartments. We were kind of sad to have this change without being informed previously. And it is very difficult to park! We were calm about renting because they offer free day-parking p, however this is the street parkin!! However, we foundthe room okay! But we do not havea coffee machine for themorning voffee and at the other building they do offer a breakfast coffee! This really makes me sad! We need our morning coffee to start our day. Once we got our things ready it was already around 8pm and we were getting hungry. We went for a small walk, La Espanola Way is just pne block away and it is a very cozy street full of great restaurants, we had a recommendation for a cuban restaurant but we do not know about cuban cuisine so we went ahead and searchd for a different restaurant. Because of us being so hungry we just decided to go where we know we will be please, PIZZA! We ended up in an italian restaurant called th Roman Hosteria. We sat down, ordered a coke and started to see the menu: the prices were ohh boy sooooo expensive!!!! All the waiters are italian and they have this prosciutto di parma that they cut when you order it. The thing is that is a $40 dish and it was way up, so we just went and ordered a Quatro Stagione Pizza! It was great! The ingredients must imported from Italy and they are so fresh and good! Delicious. They gave us two hot sauces and they were awsome. We ate three thin slices each and it was enough. To end with the traveling day we went to Publix. Because of having a kitchen in our room we decided to eat all breakfasts in the room to save a bit in foods! We save money and calories. We are looking too much tv as every saturday we watch a cuponmania program so I printed a few coupons to save even more. We now have eggs, milk, bagels, ham, cheese, cereal and coffee for tomorrow, but guess what, we forgot salt and sugar! Oh boy! Anyway, we will see what we end up doing tomorrow!
