Three Days of Intoxicating Beauty in Tokyo

A 3 day trip, travelling to Tokyo

What’s admirable about Tokyo is its sheer resilience amidst adversities. It was hit by 1923 Great Kantō earthquake that ravaged the city in 1923. As a result, Tokyo instituted strict policies on earthquake-proof architecture so that even if the most recent earthquake that hit the city was stronger than the one in 1923, the death toll was considerably less.

Compared with other cities in the world, Tokyo’s current urban architecture can be considered contemporary and modern. In 1944 and 1945, during the World War II, the bombing of Tokyo destroyed half of the city and many old buildings and landmarks were devastated.

Tokyo is one of the world’s financial capital and ranks as the most expensive city to live in. As a tourist destination, it is one of the most frequented cities in the world for tourists. Main attractions include the Imperial Palace, the Tokyo Tower and the Ginza Shopping District.

Visiting Tokyo and other neighboring cities can become hassle-free if tourists plan ahead of their visit. The existence of an extensive transport network, like the popular shinkansen, makes travelling in and around Tokyo very efficient.

Here is a three-day itinerary that will introduce tourists to the best sights and sounds in Tokyo, including visits to other cities. More options are available on City-Discovery.com to replace any of the mentioned tours below.
