The Best of Flanders

This is a great way to start your day in Brussels. With several destinations included in this tour, it’s as if you hit several birds with one stone. Start the tour in Brussels as you visit the Grand Place, the city's central square with a carpet floor of flowers. View important sites including the Royal Palace, Saint-Michaels Cathedral and Palace of Justice. Don’t miss the chance to take home a picture of the adorable Manneken Pis, the statue of a little boy peeing into the fountain.

The tour proceeds to Ghent where you can see the impressive Saint Bavo Cathedral and the 14th-century World Heritage-listed belfry rising from the old cloth hall. Admire the towers of the medieval Gravensteen castle and the Graslei, the most photographed waterfront promenade in the city. Next stop is the small fishing village of Damme, the birthplace of Jacob van Maerlant, the "father of Flemish poetry".

Finally, the tour takes you to the city of Bruges where you will be taken on a canal ride (approximately 35 minutes), past Alms houses and the UNESCO Belfry and Halls. Visit the Chapel of the Holy Blood, where it's believed Christ's blood was taken after the crusades and admire Michelangelo’s beautiful statue, the Madonna with Child. You will return to Brussels on a coach.
