Arriving at Launceston
I joined 3 of my buddies in Launceston. Mojtaba gave me a lift from Launceston airport with his hired Holden to the Launceston Treasure Island Caravan Park, where Tina and Shima were already pitch their tent.My buddies had a morning flight from Melbourne had a chance to visit Launceston and ...
We waited for our friends from Brisbane: Elham, Borzou and Azin. They were also on time, and get there just before sunset. They had also hired a Getz. The cars seems a bit small for gang of seven with all belongings, but quite great on budget. Mojatba had found them for $250 for 7 days ( that's a very good price if you consider Christmas high season), from an international car hire called Alamo. Its local Ozzie counterpart price was almost twice!!! Thanks to internet Mojtaba had found the offer on www.kayak.com . Really what great can be competition on internet for customers, just check the website before decide to go somewhere.
The Treasure Island Caravan Park at Launceston was quite nice providing a very tidy and clean toilet and showers. There are also motored caravan facility which also looked great attracting offshore tourists. Our place had a great view of beautiful hill in front of us, but it got soon dark before we can enjoy it much.
Launceston seems to be a very cozy scenic town withlots of hill which let you have great landscapes.
