Onward to our autumn getaway
This is a travel day to Michigan. In route, we are planning a stop at the DeBrands Chocolate Factory for their factory tour. The tour costs 5 dollars each, but each person receives a 5 dollar gift certificate at the end of the tour. I'm planning to use ours to purchase some delicious DeBrands caramels, and some Rose carmella's.
Next stop Frankenmuth Michigan. It is called Little Bavaria. We are staying at the Bavarian Inn. It boasts of 5 pools, a mini golf area inside, and some hot tubs. We stayed here 8 years ago. Now we are returning with our son who is 5 years old.
Frankenmuth is a charming little town. There's Bronner's Christmas Store. It is huge. And I'm told they have a Christmas light display after dark. There are several shops in town. Hoping to eat at the Frankenmuth Brewery or possibly Tiffany's Food & Spirits. No, we are not especially into liquor (we're tea totallers, or should I say Diet Pepsi totallers!). But brewerys or pubs often have good food and a fun atmosphere. So we may give them a try.
We have a coupon for 45 dollars off a whirlpool suite! So after visiting the hotel pools, I plan on a long soak!
