"Exploring" (getting lost on) the way to the River made navigating back all the easier. We left the house after a light lunch (leaving room for fresh bread... and beer), heading straight back to Wild Flour Bread. 2 loaves of bread, 2 scones, and a repeat stroll through their beautiful gardens (all the while hugging a wonderfully warm loaf of goat cheese bread) later, we were content. So content in fact, that we were oblivious to standing in the way of some fellow customers. "ohmmf, shhrrhy, ihh mihhf yhr chr?" ("oh, sorry, is this your car?") we excused ourselves through a pair of mouthfuls of warm goat cheese bread.
Glancing across the road to the winery, we decided that it was too crowded and that we would head off straight for the brewery. And after a pleasant drive through Sepastepol, we arrived in Santa Rosa at the Russian River Brewing Company. We got the full taster (13 beers). Mmmm. (With two of the 1oz glasses, we cheersed to meeting each other one year ago this weekend.)
And after another hour drive south, we were back home! Overall a great weekend.
