Zion National Park is unbelievable. Words can't describe its beauty and pictures don't due it justice. This day we rode the shuttle to the last stop on the scenic trail, the Temple of Sinawava. There we hiked the riverside walk to the narrows trail. We began wading the ankle to thigh deep riverbed about two mile to the section called Wall Street. It was the highlight of our vacation thus far. It was really out of the box for us. following our hike we rode through the Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel to the east entrance to Zion Park and then on to Kanab, Ut to spend the night. Dinner was a real surprise. We happen to find a wonderful restaurant called the Rocking Cafe and had fish tacos to die for.Tomorrow on to the Grand Canyon's North Rim.

We've been many times. Last trip we went to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon...can get there, sightsee and do it all and still get back the same night. It's a great trip....using GPS. Didn't get lost once. You drive through The Joshua Tree Forest in the Mojave Desert - Joshua Trees are scraggy looking cactus like trees. The canyon site has the horseshoe shaped glass skywalk. Amazing. The roads are good but mostly graveled. We rented a car for our week there and had the best time. Don't miss the drive through red rock canyon too.

We want to do some of these same spots but will definitely visit the South Rim of Grand Canyon since we have not been there ever, so would like to do North Rim but some say it is not really worth it. Disagree? Anyway,plan to fly to Vegas and stay about 3 days, then to Canyon and other NPs. Plans are for mid-Oct. 2011 for about 2wks or little more Suggestions are welcome!
