17 Days Yunnan Shangri-La Tour

 Day 01 Beijing   

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. You are greeted by your guide at the airport and transferred to the four-star Holiday Inn Downtown Hotel.

Day 02 Beijing (B, L)

Travel to the Great Wall, one of the eight ancient wonders of between 6000- 6500 km long built over several centuries to keep out the invading northern tribes. After a hike along a portion of the Wall, you visit the Ming Tombs, a secluded valley housing 14 imperial burial mounds.

Day 03 Beijing (B, L)

Morning tour starts with the Gugong, also called the Forbidden City, in scripted as a UNESCO world cultural heritage site in 1987.Built between 1406-1420, it is the largest palace of the world complex covering 74 hectares. It has 9999 halls and rooms in which emperors lived for over 500 hundred years in Ming and Qing dynasties. Walk leisure around Tian An Men Square to admire the grandeur of the largest public squares in the world. After lunch you will visit the biggest and most important imperial Temple of China, Temple of Heaven, where emperors performed annual rituals of sacrifice to ensure prosperity for future generations. Then you drive through the city for an overview of Beijing until you arrive for leisure tour to the Summer Palace which was built 800 years ago. It is the second largest and best-preserved royal garden in China, with 294 hectares including the beautiful and serene Kunming Lake.

Day 04 Beijing / Shanghai  (B, L)

Morning ride in three-wheeled rickshaws through Beijing's Hutong, experiencing the lifestyle of the Beijing locals. This afternoon fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the four-star Shanghai Hotel. Enjoy leisure walk along the riverfront Bund and admire the night lights on both sides of the harbor.

Day 5 Shanghai (B, L)

Shanghai visit starts with a tour of the premier attractions of the city where we can immerse ourselves in the culture and sophistication of this cosmopolitan. You can stroll along the lovely paths and pavilions of Yu Garden in Shanghai Old City and at the same time experience Shanghai recently gained modernity. This afternoon visit Shanghai Museum, mainly the exhibitions of painting, bronze, sculpture, ceramics, calligraphy, jade, Ming & Qing Dynasty furniture, coins, seals, and ethnic artwork. Continue visiting Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Centre to see what a city of the future is really going to look like. Enjoy your shopping in Nanjing Road, known as the No. 1 Shopping Paradise in China.

Day 06 Shanghai / Kunming (B, L)

Fly to Kunming in the morning, the Spring City of China. Located on the east edge of the Tibet Plateau, Kunming is accompanied by warm weather year round. Check into the four-star New Era Hotel. In the afternoon, you will climb the Western Hill where you will find both Taoist and Buddhism temples on the top. A very beautiful lake view of the Dianchi Lake comes into sight while you are on the top of the Dragon Hills Gate. On the way down, you will visit the Huating Temple, containing 500 sculptures of the disciples of the Buddha.

Day 07Kunming  (B, L)

A full day excursion takes you to the Stone Forest, one of the natural wonders of the area, and a typical Karstic Landscape. On the way, you will enjoy a visit to a typical Chinese village and meet the local people.

Day 08 Kunming / Dali (B, L)

You will take an early flight to Dali, an important stop on the Yunnan-Tibetan Highway. In the afternoon, tour the Erhai Lake and enjoy the Folk Songs and Dances of the Bai ethnic minority while the famous Three Course Tea presented. You will find the crystal blue lake and the green mountain range nearby look alike a Chinese painting. Then take a look of the symbol of Dali, the Three Pagodas, built 1,300 years ago. You can have a leisurely stroll in Old Town Dali at evening. Overnight at the four-star Asia Star Hotel.

Day 09 Dali  / Lijiang (B, L)

Today, you will drive to Lijiang. Lijiang, bordering Tibet, is a small town with a spectacular mountain backdrop. After lunch, you will visit the Black Dragon Pool, and the Dongba Culture Exhibition Museum, which represents the Dongba Pictographic Characters and Naxi Minorities mysterious Culture, some of which still use the matriarchal social system up till today. Late afternoon, tour the ancient Town of Dayan, a World Heritage Site in China recognized by the United Nations in 1999. Check into the four-star Grand Hotel.

Day 10 Lijiang  (B, L)

A whole day tour starts with a visit to Yufeng Si, a traditional Lamasery famous for its 1000-year-old Camellia Tree. Take cable car ascending Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to visit Yak grassland, and tour the Baisha Mural in Baisha Naxi minority village.

Day 11 Lijiang / Zhongdian  (B, L)

Full day tour takes you to northwest of Lijiang Old Town to visit Tiger Leaping Gorge, which is believed to be the deepest gorge in the world. Continue driving to Zhongdian and check into check into the four-star Holy Palace Hotel.

Day 12 Zhongdian / Kunming (B, L)

Visit Samzoling Monastery, Pudacuo Scenic Area including Bita Lake, Shudu Lake and Xiagei Tibetan Village. Fly back to Kunming in the late afternoon and check into the hotel.

Day 13 Kunming / Guilin  (B)

Morning is free. This afternoon fly to the mystical city---Guilin. With its thousands of limestone outcroppings, Guilin has inspired generations of silk scroll painters. Check into the four-star Guihu Park Hotel.

Day 14 Guilin (B, L)

Appreciate the beauty surrounding Guilin on your Li River Cruise to Yangshuo. The scenery is unmatched in the world, with sheer mountain peaks rising straight out of the fields. See the fishermen taking their daily catch from the jade green waters. Drive back to Guilin in later afternoon.

Day 15 Guilin / Guangzhou  / Hong Kong (B, L)

After breakfast in the hotel, you will fly to Guangzhou. Upon arrival, visit the Chan Family Temple. In the afternoon, board express train to Hong Kong. Upon arrive in Hong Kong, meet and transfer to the four-star Park Hotel.

Day 16 Hong Kong  (B)

This morning enjoy half day Hong Kong Island tour to visit Stanley Market, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen's floating community and Victoria Peak.

Day 17 Hong Kong (B)

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
