Prepare for a very worthwhile early morning rise because the morning flights, which are far more reliable than the afternoon flights in terms of weather conditions, take off before sunrise!

The overall Ballooning experience includes watching the Balloon being set-up before you clambour into the basket and take off for your flight over the temples. Flight time is generally between 45 minutes to an hour although everything is subject to weather conditions and the direction and strength of the wind.

Upon landing the retrieval vehicles will zoom in and their first task is to pop the corks and serve you champagne and refreshments which you can savour whilst watching the balloon being dismantled. You are then driven back to your hotel.

Set-up and dismantling of the balloon is as much about the experience as the flight itself and the experience, end-to-end lasts from between 2 and a half to 3 hours. Ballooning is governed entirely by weather including take off times can change day to day.

Afternoon flights may also be available although the weather tends to be less reliable than morning flights. Afternoon Hot Air Balloon flights take off not less than one hour before sunset.
