Glendale is a fascinating city in the state of California . It is rich in culture and scenic beauty. Lots of people around the world come here to visit this city. I and my husband also went to visit the city. It hardly took few hrs to reach there by car. We had already booked our hotel in the city. This hotel was among the hotels in Glendale. After checking in to the hotel we rested for sometime and got ourselves refreshed. Then we went out for visiting the city. The first place we visited was Glendale Centre Theatre. My husband and I caught a show at the Glendale Centre Theatre.
We had the most enjoyable night out in a long time! We felt completly at home in the theatre-in-the-round and it was affordable to boot! We saw, The musical, The Music Man and our tickets were only $20.00! No seat is further than 9 rows from the stage - we felt a part of the show. We stongly recommend that if you are visiting the glendale area you check out this little jem of a theatre in Glendale . The people sitting around us said "it's always this good!"
The next place we visited was Forest Lawn Memorial-Park & Mortuary in Glendale , CA . It is perhaps the most famous of all funeral care establishments, anywhere! Forest Lawn is synonymous with the highest of integrity, dignity, and professionalism. America is fortunate to have Forest Lawn in Glendale because some of the finest art and sculpture--some actual reproductions of Michelangelo--of the finest Italian art and other art found anywhere. Most of the art is original and in keeping with the founder Dr. Hubert Eaton's vision, as expressed in his 'The Builder's Creed,' engraved on a wall just outside of the Great Mausoleum. One can always find a most peaceful setting and even a somewhat joyous feeling throughout the entire Forest Lawn compound! I have visited there many times and each time I find some art I had never seen on previous visits. Take a day and visit this remarkable place. And also one must see the huge oil painting relating to 'Pentecost' and the large 'Last Supper' stained glass window. Simply remarkable and worth your time! After visiting these places we were tired enough so we came back to our hotel. After having our dinner we went to sleep.
