On Our Way

Over night flight from San Francisco to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

We arrive two hours before we can board the boat - perfect timing!

I think the total for the the trip came out to just over $2k or $1k/person.

I think the total for the the trip came out to just over $2k or $1k/person (and that included flights from San Francisco to Florida.) It would have been cheaper another time of year, but we had vacation days we wanted to use during the holidays.

going on a cruise myself in may.Can't wait.A little nervous i may add because feel the ship might take off without us or we might not make it in t ime to board after all our exploring. Do you say it was over all stress free making in time after your adventure driving in the jeep? I dont want evertyhing to feel rushed but i want a little private time on a beach.Are there a lot of rental vechicles right by the port? And do you get a map or feel it is safe to wander off to the beach for a drive?

Hi Val - Renting a car was stress free - we finished our day and were back on the boat prior to the required last call boarding time. I do recommmend you watch the clock though, because they will leave without you.
