DAY ONE
The first stop for any guest should be Agave, The Arizona Spa, for a heavenly retreat to rejuvenate and renew the mind, body, and spirit. For a truly unique treatment, the Tui’ Na Massage, a 5,000 year-old Chinese tradition that seeks to establish a more harmonious flow of Qi and blood, allows the body to naturally heal itself. Tui’Na uses a variety of hand techniques to stimulate acupoints and is one of the most popular massages at Agave Spa.
After a relaxing massage, guests can head to a luxurious poolside cabana at the Adventure Pool and enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather in comfort in the while kids have fun on the 110-foot water slide or lazy river or participate in activities with the Westin Kierland’s award-winning FUN Team. From poolside events to Arts & Crafts, RaceZone car racing to Kickball games, the options for Family FUN are virtually endless.
Break away for the afternoon with a Sonoran Desert Hummer Tour. During a four to five hour tour, guests can visit an Arizona Ghost Town or Native American fort, see unique desert wildlife and be awestruck at the vast desert landscape all while driving off-road with an experienced guide in a convertible Hummer.
Return to the Resort for the signature “Scottish Pipes at Sunset Series.” As a tribute to the Scottish immigrants who contributed to the development of Arizona’s railroads, mines and towns, guests and families are encouraged to gather around the fire pit at the Resort’s Dreamweavers Canyon Courtyard to enjoy the haunting sounds of the Scottish Bagpipes with Michael McClanathan, a bagpiper with 40 years of experience. It’s the perfect opportunity for families to relax and unwind from their busy day of swimming, shopping, and sight-seeing.
