The Best of San Diego from The Westin San Diego

Start your day by taking the ferry to Coronado —a fantastic way to experience San Diego!  Access the ferry by walking three short blocks west of The Westin San Diego   to the San Diego Harbor Excursion Port.  Rent a bike at the Port and bring it with you on ferry (sit upstairs for the best views).  The ferry ride lasts about 15 minutes and passes by Seaport Village and the Embarcadero with the beautiful city skyline in the background.  Once you arrive on Coronado Island , enjoy a leisurely bike ride around the island and then head to the beach for some fun in the sun.  Spend a few hours there and you might see some dolphins or the free air show in which you can watch fighter jets take off and land at North Island . 

After enjoying the beach, head back to the ferry port.  There are a variety of restaurants and shops to explore.  My personal favorite is Peohe’s ‘ Coronado ’s Tropical Island Paradise’ – try the surf and turf roll or the crab, mango, and avocado stack…delicious!
