Our flight was from St. Louis was great-although rather long. We did enjoy our stopover in Rekjavek, only wish we had stayed overnight and gotten to see more than the airport! Found ouir way to our hotel with no problems either. The Blandford hotel is very nice, however the room was so small you could hardly walk around the foot of the bed!! But it was just fine, we didn't spend much time there anyway...

This trip I was finally able to see The Templar Church, and I was not dissapointed at all. We were lucky in that the Rector of the church was giving a talk to a visiting group and he spoke about the DaVinci code being filmed here and all. So it just made it a bit more special.
This afternoon we visited Kensington Palace and had a walk around the State Apartments. Just beautiful....and such opulence. It doesn't rank up there as high as the French palaces though. I guess the English rulers were a bit more modest....
We saw Les Miserables at the Queens theater this evening. I was so excited to finally be seeing a performance in London, I was actually moved to tears when it was over...so beautiful. The music and their voices were just fantastic! I didn't want it to end... Just walking around the theater district and watching all the different people was also an event in itself. You see just about everything here.. and I mkean everything. Some of the girls skirts were so short that they could possibly sit down without the hem of the dress sitting at their waist. However, Garry seemed to like this and thought it was just fine...go figure.

Lovely trip this morning on the train from London to Oxford. What a beautiful old town this is. Like right out of a Harry Potter movie, which is true too since a lot of the scenes were filmed here. Our hotel, the Old Parsonage is just fantastic. It was built in 1662, imagine that. - such history. Our room here is spacious and we have our own private balcony overlooking a charming patio and courtyard. Dinner tonight was at Gee's, a lovely restaurant in a conservatory. So classy and elegant .. I was afraid Garry wouldn't know which fork to use! They also featured live jazz with a guy that sounded just like Louis Armstrong. We has so much fun, one of those nights to remember...
England, especially London, have won my heart. Now I want to see the places Shakespeare walked, where Jane Austen paid such detailed attention to her neighbors, and everyone gasped over the dire exploits of Jack the Ripper. To pretend, to shift back into time for a while, that's my dream. This coming fall I hope to see it all come true. Wish me luck!
I hope u make it to London. I have been there so many times due to the nature of my job otherwise it wont be easily affordable. Go ahead and enjoy every bit of the lovable Capital. Good Luck.
