4 day Big Rig Road Trip to Reedsport, Or./June 2009

From Van Nuys, California to Arvin, Santa Nella and Corning California:

These are pictures of Kevin's Freightliner Burgundy Big Truck and it's awesome. This is what he drives all across the United States and I love being on the road with him.

Kevin came to pick me up @  my place Monday (June 1st) @ about 11:30pm, so close to Midnight (Tuesday-June 2nd) I thought I wouldn't count this as a day.  So we were off going northbound on the 405 (San Diego) Freeway which turns into Interstate 5 (northbound).  I LOVE going on a run with him. Going up Interstate 5 until we come to the Grapevine-Frasier Park then we descended down that steep grade, even though it was late @ night there was still traffic on the freeway but he did it smooth sailing no problem.  

By the time we stopped in the city of Arvin it was well past Midnight, Kevin was tired so we stopped here for the night.  We were up by about 8am and got back on Interstate 5 - NORTHBOUND, Oregon here we come!!

We decided to stop in Santa Nella so Kevin could take a break & nap. Who, doesn't stop in Santa Nella!! Everyone gages Santa Nella as the HALF WAY point to Northern California. And we all know what Santa Nella is famous for?? The famous "Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant"!!

Kevin drove & we talked & talked & talked until we ended up in the city of Corning  for the night and had dinner @ Rolling Hills Casino that evening.
