Morro Bay
We arrived in Morro Bay and the weather was perfect. It was windy and got chilly but not until around after dinner. Something we noticed right away was that it was a SUPER dog friendly town. We booked our room kind of late so we didn't have a lot choices of where to stay so we booked a room at the Twin Dolphins. This weekend was very busy in this area because of the Cal Poly Graduation on the 13th in San Luis Obispo. Lots of families from out of town staying in the beach towns. Thankfully it was nice. It was a clean hotel. The room had a view of Morro Rock. We had a tiny balcony but it was nice to open the slider in the morning and eat breakfast hearing the seals. It was a quiet area and a short walk to town. We purposely got a room with a microwave and refrigerator so that we could save some money and eat breakfast and lunch in the room. Dinner out was a must because you gotta have seafood when you are in Morro Bay. The hotel did have a complimentary continental breakfast in their breakfast room in the morning. It was nicer than most. They had bagels, toast, danishesand pastries, an assortment of fruit, cereals, coffee, orange juice, tea, and milk.
We went out to Morro Rock and saw some Sea Otters playing around in the water. There were seals everywhere. We ate dinner at the Otter Cafe. It was just ok. Then we finished the evening off by watching the sun go down.
