I love Chicago! I hadn't been there in a few years and had been dying to get back there. So off we went....My friend and I left Wednesday morning on the 6:00 AM flight. Being that I work for a major airline the benefits of taking off and flying where ever I want to go (if space available) is a great perk. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott on East Hubbard. GREAT LOCATION! Just a few blocks from Michigan Ave. We were surrounded by all the great streets and restaurants that Chicago is known for. Checked in to our Hotel and went up to our room. We booked a 1 room suite with a living area and kitchenette. It was nice and enough room for the both of us. We decided we were hungry so we went to Maggiano's for appetizers and drinks. When we were finished we walked over to the river and took some beautiful shots.

Kirin, What kind of things are you interested in doing. I go to Vegas all the time, Lived in Los Angels for a few years and live currently in the San Francisco Bay area. Let me know what you like to do and I can definitely make some suggestions.....
You have to see the sears tower. It's an amazing view of Lake Michigan. There is also an architectural cruise you can take thru the city. Traffic is unbearable going into and leaving the city so choose your hotel wisely. And don't discount the hole in the wall restaurants and pass them over for the more froo froo. You'd be amazed at the food you can get from these well worn restaurants. Gotta get a Chicago dog while you're there. :) They come smothered and are topped with a wedge of pickle. Now I want one. Vegas is breathtaking at night and have incredible shows. There is also the stratosphere rollercoaster on the top of (can't think of the building). I've always wanted to ride it but have lost my nerve every time :( California, depends on where you go so I can't help you with that although I'm a native Left Coaster. Have fun.
Hi Business First- Yeah been to the Sears tower and the architectural cruise. LOVED them both. That is why we hit the Hancock Building this time. Had a Chicago dog and it was yummy! Vegas, well what can I say? I am there 4 times a year. I live in California so it is close for me. Don't know if you went to the cocktail lounge in the Stratosphere but it is a must see. We usually sit up there for a few hours and just sip our drinks and watch the sun go down! I am ready to go back to Chicago again soon though! Chicago,Vegas and Manhattan are my favorite cities in the country!
