This is 6 day trip. You will cycle in the North and North-East of the country. The area is famous of a biggest lake in Vietnam - Ba Be lake, nice mountains and local minority people: Tay, Nung. Nice riding combines with cruising will give you great experience. Enjoy beautiful landscape of waterfalls, nice valleys with great view, visit local people.... It must be a marvelous trip for you.
Day 1
Cao Bang & Lang Son Bicyle Adventure Tour
Day 01: Hanoi - Ba Be National Park
You will be met up at your hotel in Hanoi by Lotussia Travel local guide and driver then start 4hours drive to Bac Kan. In the afternoon we cycle off highway 3 to a quiet road, great views over small villages of Tay and Thai on the opposite of the river. O/N in Babe.
Day 02: Ba Be National Park
After breakfast, our car will take us to the pier where we take a boat cruise along Nang river. Visit Puong cave, and local market near at Ban Vai. We hike to Dau Dang waterfalls. Afternoon we cruising back to Ba Be lake with a stop to visit Pac Ngoi village of Tay tribe. O/N in Babe.
Day 03: Ba Be National Park – Cao Bang
Morning transfer outside Ba Be to Ha Hieu, then we ride on dirt road 60 km to Nguyen Binh. Challenge climb up Phia Den mt. pass at level of +1,200 m. Picnic lunch en route. Afternoon we cycle on paved road to Nguyen Binh, then our van pick us up for tranfer to CaoBang. O/N in Caobang.
Day 04: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfalls – Cao Bang
Good paved road ~ 89km all the way to waterfalls. Up and down Horse pass. Scenic beauty of Karst valley, numerous Tay and Nung villages. Late picnic lunch and swim at Ban Gioc waterfalls – the border falls between Vietnam and China. We have some more km cycling in the afternoon before transfer back to Cao Bang. O/N in Caobang.
Day 05: Cao Bang – Lang Son – Mau Son Mountain
Morning ride 67km to That Khe, passing 3 mountain passed and Dong Khe. Lunch break in That Khe. Afternoon we take bus shuttle to Lang Son and start cycling to Mau Son. Challenge of climbing up 14km to Mau Son summit at level of +1,540m. Nice sunset on arrival. O/N in Mauson.
Day 06: Mau Son – Ha Noi
At leisure time to discover the scenery around. Then we cycle down hill to Lang Son and on to Chi Lang. Visit historical vestige "Chi Lang border" where the Vietnamese defeated Chinese troops centuries ago. Then we take bus transfer to Hanoi. Farewell dinner. End of tour.
