We embark on the first part of the ascent as we trek through terraced rice paddies and some of the villages of the H'mong minority people. Once we reach an elevation of 1,700m we stop for lunch and an energy boost before climbing up to the first peak at an elevation of 2,300m.

Trek to Mt Fanxipan - Great trekking trip in Sapa Vietnam

Day 01: Hanoi - Lao Cai (Overnight on the train)

You will be met up by Lotussia local guide and driver ant transferred to Hanoi railways station. This evening we take the night train from Hanoi to Lao Cai. Overnight on train [hanoi laocai trains ].

Day 02: Arrival in Laocai. Laocai - Sapa

Upon arrival at Lao Cai railways station, you will be met up by another Lotussia local guide and driver. We drive then the 35kms to Sapa. The morning will be free at leisure or to walk around this former French hill station town. Later we visit the market and walk up Ham Rong hill for some good panoramic views of Sapa town and the surrounding valleys.

Day 03: Sapa - First Camp (2,500m)

We embark on the first part of the ascent as we trek through terraced rice paddies and many H'mong minority people hamlets. Once we reach an elevation of 1,700 m we stop for lunch and an energy boost before climbing up to the first peak at an elevation of 2,300. Here we set up camp for the night.

Day 04: Trekking to Summit and Return to first Camp (2,500m)

After our first night on the mountain we set out for summit, which will take the best part of the day. As we continue on we pass through primary forest containing giant, centuries old pine trees and expanses of yellow bamboo. Our continuing trek will take us to an altitude of over 3,000m as we arrive at the roof of Vietnam: Fansipan Peak. Once at the summit we will have time to savor the best panorama in Vietnam.

Day 05: First Camp - Sapa

Today we walk downhill just about all the way. Following breakfast we begin our descent and reach Sapa by around lunchtime. From here we will go down to Lao Cai railways station and take the night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train.

Day 06: Arrival Hanoi

Upon arrival at Hanoi railway station, you will be met up again by Lotussia local guide and driver then transferred back to your hotel in town or directly to the airport for your onward flight.
