Seattle Spring 2009

I don't think that the time can go by fast enough till the day arrives and I leave St. Louis behind and head for the great Northwest.  Well, to be really honest, I can't wait to get there because my one and only child lives here....my daughter Melissa. Since she moved up here about 5 years ago I try to get up here at least once a year.  Each time we try to see something different.  This trip will focus on Mount Rainier and the San Juan Islands. 

I really need this vacation since work has been so hectic and demanding lately. Even though I will hate to say goodbye to my husband Garry, what a gift just to get away for awhile.  Since my birthday is on the 24th of April,  this trip is my birthday gift.  When I arrive on friday April 17th, I will pick up my rental car and head for Mukilteo, a community just north of Seattle, where my daughter Melissa and her boyfriend "Dan the Man" live.  We always have such a great time together...I am so happy that they have found each other as he is already a special addition to our family.

When they get home from work, we will pile into the car and head for Mount Rainier where we have rented a cabin at the base of the mountain, in Ashford, WA. Jasmer's Cabins, and our is nestled in the woods by a mountain stream.  Can't wait!!!
