Item to add: 1. Sunscreen 2. Edgie wedgies 3. Ski harnesses 4. Medicine (Neosporin, Allergy med, Vitamin C, Bandage…). For food: Fruit/Toast/Ham should be OK. Big water bottle.
I am leaving for work around 1 PM. Drive to Leonard's place almost 2 PM. When we hit the road, the traffic were bad around I-680 and I-80 junction. We almost spent 4 hours bumper to bumper until Sacramento. Next time, we should consider to take another route: I-580->I-205->I-5 to Sacramento. Leonard’s GPS is a cool device. With the Bluetooth, we can talk to Fanny/Sho-Jen hand-free. Also, it can be a MP3 player. Next time, should upload all the Samantha story CD into this kind of device.
After dinner at McDonald in Sacramento, it is already 7 PM. Traffic is really bad. Guess the Martine Luther King Jr. holiday, quite a lot of bay area residence want to go to Reno/Tahoe for ski. Road condition on I-80 between North Lake Tahoe/Reno is pretty bad. There are many sections are under construction. Also, quite a lot of trucks were jamming the freeway. We finally arrived the Grand Sierra Resort/Casino around 9 PM. Quickly bath ourselves and prepare for the next day ski. Samantha/Samuel are attending the kid lesson around 9:00 AM. We need to arrive on-site 30 minutes in advance for getting equipment and fill up the registration form.
One thing to notice is I should adjust the heater temperature before bed. By default, the temperature set to 70 C by hotel staff. It was so dry during the night. I kept waking up during the night. Samantha end up nose-bleeding the next day morning. Remember this !!!
